I just purchased the new zotac 4080 and am getting the constant loop of 53 54 7f. Updated bios to most recent version to 2.02. Swapped out cards and it works fine with my old 1080ti

Hey All, Whenever I enable XMP GTA 5 randomly crashes to desktop. I've got the classified z690 with GSkill Trident Z5 2x16gb. I'm really not a wizard when it comes to memory so I'm not really sure where to start. This has been doing this since the first bios version that enabled 13th gen procs on this mobo. I've stayed current with bios updates for the most part other than the one that was just released the other day. Not sure if chasing bios updates will resolve this one for me. Do I adjust voltage in this case and check for stability? - DDR5 5600
- Timing 28-34-34-89
- CAS Latency 28
- Voltage 1.35V

Are those the default xmp timings? Is your gpu overclocked?

What happens if you underclock your gpu to max negatives clocks on the gpu & memory via msi afterburner with xmp enabled? Does it still ctd?

rookies13 I need help. Its been 8 years since i built my first rig you can see it on my profile. This new stuff has me whipped. Just got done building and I have no picture system comes on with code 7F 59 54. I pulled my video card out and still no pics same code. If I'm reading things correctly you're trying to use a 13th gen chip on your board but haven't updated the BIOS yet. The 1.xx BIOS revisions don't support 13th gen natively and need updating to 2.xx BIOS revisions to support 13th gen CPU's. Update your BIOS to one that supports 13th gen chips and you should get it to work then.

It's too late for me to try but the issues we/were getting are boot issues , not picture issues which this update "seems" to fix. Interesting to see if it does fix this problem of being stuck in a 53,54,7F loppy loop and then lots more loops , just for good measure

Yeah I’m not even getting past the boot, it just cycles those 53 54 7F codes indefinitely. Put my 1080ti in boots seamlessly straight to windows. I’m wondering if the nvidia fix will work since I have the zotac card and it’s referring to picture rather than boot. When I have sometime, I’ll give that the good ol college try and report back. Would really love to use card but at this rate, the 3090 ti might be a better option.

With A-die, the Z690 DKP is outrageously touchy on voltages (especially 1.56-1.6v) and does weird stuff when training above 7600.

You mean like Asus's "SP" score? Not that I am aware of. I suppose, in theory at least, you could use the "OC robot" function to quickly bin CPU's.

I am pretty sure there is no way to see it in the bios; I know what you are talking about; I miss Asus's Bios / OC toolbox and ability to see / offset the VID tables for each V/F point for the P/E/Cache table. I have just been using XTU and offsets to map out the VID table points, but it takes a long time and is annoying AF.

Yeah, you'd think it would be fairly easy to program into the BIOS honestly. Love this motherboard but that is superrrrrrrrrr annoying. When using, the OC bot my CPU clocks itself up to 5.7. What did yours do? I'm using my own settings mind you but that's what it did when I tried it out. Thank you for responding by the way it's appreciated. I'm tempted to take this 13900k and swap it out but, I would like to know what I'm looking at first with this one at least.

Z690 DARK KINGPIN BIOS 2.03 with SK hynix A-DIE In the BIOS, set VDD to 1.62 and check it through HWINFO, it is 1.56-1.57, and it has dropped by about 0.5-0.6. Is this normal?
