Using newer drivers then 425.31? Thet will cause px1 to not be able to set max power. You have to run px1 in administer mode to get px1 to be able to use max power.
I did not know this and was like **** is going on with PX1 on 430.5x. Like I remember reading it but it never registered untel now thx for that.

AHowes :/ dont have that game to test to see if I have the same issue.
Just got done flashing the Ln2 bios to the OC switch position and wow! Huge difference in fan speed for the card fan. Before on the OC switch I seen 2400rpm and now 3706rpm! I can hear her now lol.
Let's check those default temps in icx before and after.. default
Before/After
Mem1= 40c /35c Mem2= 37c/32c Mem3= 28c/23c GPU1= 27c/23c GPU2= 30c/27c PWR1= 31-32C / 29C PWR2= 27C / 24-25C PWR3= 30-31C / 25C PWR4= 32-31C / 26-27C PWR5= 24C / 23C
Hold it all that info is going to be off as the new temps are from running the card at 1350mhz.. it wont boost to 2055 at default like prior. :/
Yeah had fun remembering why the power limit would not stick after upgrading from 425.31 drivers to the newest 430.64.
I'll mess with it some more.. prob have to have px1 use prior settings on load? That's prob it. As its boosting to 2055mhz on load.
So maybe the next boot I can edit this post to show some kinda idea of the difference of board temps with ln2 bios used flashed to the oc switch position.
Sounds like you broke your card with the flash.

Thats what the fans are supposed to do when the LN2 bios are flashed to the OC position, nothing is broke. Gives maximum fan speeds but leaves the temperature safeguards in place. I did it first thing when i got my cards. https://xdevs.com/guide/2080ti_kpe/

It will still boost to 2055mhz on 3dload at default settings as normal. Just not holding at the desktop like prior even though I have the nvidia control panel set to prefer max performance like before. So with that being said I cant accurately compare tempts between the OC and ln2 at default and idle. :/ Now to test the card again at 2190 and figure that out. :/

friggin time spy doesnt like the mem over +700 on my card and barely gets by at +20 on the core. :/. Runs superposition 4k at +1400 though. tbh its gaming the best at stock clocks (2100+/-). I am a little dissapointed on the memory side, seems like +800 is game friendly. My black did 1k easy peasy. way higher fps and more consistent fps with this card though. I bumped myself up to position #34 on super https://benchmark.unigine.com/results/rid_c3f430f740254c69b6570bea478bc33b

Im most impressed with my Port Royal score 10087 i have the top 7 scores in my cpu/ #1 gpu class, and #37 on the HOF.

Nvidia control panel\3d settings\ prefer max perf for the power setting. If that doesn’t work use profile inspector to set the power state

After like the 2nd or 3rd reboot it shows 2055mhz now in px1 and idle power is over 90+ watts.. were it was prior to installing the new drivers. Prob is now.. px1 dont want to start with windows and I have to manually start it lol. Same version.. though I did uninstall and reinstall px1 and ab after flashing the card.

Sounds like registry issues. If you are still annoyed by the current state you could follow bcavs px1 removal procedure or use rivatuner it’s still pretty thorough with uninstalls. Still think nvidia inspector and profile inspector is the way to go when drivers and the extensions start acting out. Also could try BCavs cold boot method. Remove all charge from card and board and then cold boot @oscyjack Give the NVRAM more voltage with the classy tool. It is samsung so as long as stays cool it scales with voltage. Also the vmem likes to run at specific frequencies. Not exactly harmonics but lets just generalize that it may not like 800 but could run fine at 960, 1000, 1200 ect... Also if you adjust the mem clock and then run a portion of a bench for example firestrike GT2 and it fails. Give it about 3 tries before you throw in the towel on that particular tuning value. Sometimes the KPE needs to settle in with its new value.

That's ok! Haha mine prob goes back just as far.. prob 480 as I had triple 480 sli for a month and then quad 580 sli. Both a huge waste of money.. but didnt learn and then quickly bought 4x 7970 cards.. that's was faster but a huge waste as the drivers would only use 3 cards.

When I get my z390 dark in I'm hoping Ill get some more outta the CPU.
You may want to look in another direction to get more out of your CPU. That board will only loose you points. Return to sender if you can.

Starting to get ancey waiting for a copper block. New case has not even been started yet as I still have not decided how I want to position the new thermaltake core p7.
It's only been 15 days for me with the kingpin. I dont know how people with the card for 30 days been dealing with the wait lol.
