Sounds like you actually will, no matter what brand it is. Every site is saying April.

I have EVGA as preference i won´t deny it but i also have a preference in the date. If no AIB is coming out before April i´ll have to wait anyway so i´ll wait for the FTW  but if some decent one comes out before April i´m getting it. I´ve been waiting too long already and my new monitor is coming out next week so i won´t be waiting more than necessary.

I cant blame you, but make sure you review customer experiences and rma procedures. Dont buy for a company that is going to leave you high and dry.

Will do, don´t worry. Thank you for the advice, its something everyone should do but sometimes the hype its too much and you fall in the preorder gambling game.

If he's in the UK we have something called The Consumer Rights Act 2015 which enables you to return anything to a shop within a certain period of time for a full refund even if you have opened the box.

Not sure what the point of your post is.

If the manufacturer, like a few manufacturers have done in the past, claims you removed the cooler and voided your warranty, then what does that have to do with "returning within a certain period of time"? If the card fails a year and a half from now, and they say you voided your warranty, no consumer act is going to change that. My post was to make sure the other user chooses and company that will have their back, and there are multiple that will. Its easy to read about rma histories on reddit, and choose the better companies.

I'd wait for the one that you really want. What's a few days going to hurt?

It depends on the situation, a few days if you KNOW its a few days would be fine but if April came and AIB's were being sold left right and centre but there wasnt a clear expect time of release, detailed specs and stock arival for the FTW3 then those "few days" might feel like an eterinity or end up being weeks. At that stage you might as well wait for the AMD VEGA release to see what it brings

I was waiting on a GTX 1080ti FTW HYBRID, release date but just got my Dell 24" 1440p G-SYNC Monitor. And it needs a workout.

Could anyone provide links to the correct EK blocks and parts to put an EVGA 1080ti FE underwater.

First time putting a GPU underwater 😱

Any tips would be appreciated

If that's the case you would not buy a card where the vendor does not allow removal to wc.

Which monitor would that happen to be? I just ordered a monitor yesterday and I'm worried that I may have jumped the gun before something awesome hit the market...

Very nice! I think it would probably be too large for the space that I have available though. I went with the ASUS ROG SWIFT PG279Q. The model is a year old, but it does what I need and fits my space. I'm sure that a 1080ti will match up with it pretty well. Thanks for the info!

You´re welcome. Great monitor too. I´m sure with the 1080 Ti you can get more that 120 fps in most AAA games at that res, so you´re golden :)

I'm going to be getting the ASUS ROG SWIFT PG27UQ when it comes out later this year. Hopefully the 1080 Ti will be able to drive 4k reasonably well.

+1

Critical for complex expensive tech. I have faith in EVGA, and they will surely be extremely careful after the heating pad issue (which was over blown). I don't mind waiting, I just want
a good really well manufactured product. EVGA aftersales service is already the best among GPU third party makers I believe. Don't rush it too much!!

1. Taichi z370. i7 8086k @ 5,2GHz Stable.
16GB G.Skill Trident Z @ 3,000MHz.
EVGA GTX 1080ti  FTW3. Acer XB270HU IPS 1440p 144Hz Refresh with G-Sync. PSU Corsair AX850. Cloud two cans, and Creative T20 stereo. Realtek HD on board sound.

I wait until mid-April, if the FTW3 does not appear, I think I will go for the ASUS, I can not wait two months, it's a sadness

I would like to have evga back, but I can not wait that long.

Any CPU recommendations? My current CPU is i5 4670K and I'm thinking it might be bottlenecking my 1080 and soon 1080ti.

I'm going to wait for what I want. Every time I have ever bought something other than what I wanted, I regretted it. Every time I look at it I think, 'if I had just waited (or spent an extra $30) I could have what I really want.

Ryzen R9 5900X, Asus X570 Crosshair Viii Hero, 32 GB DDR4-3600, EVGA RTX 3080 Ultra FTW 3, Phanteks 400A Case, 2X 1TB M.2 SSDs.

Ryzen R7 5800X, Asus TUF X570, EVGA 1080 TI FTW3

I've got an event I want to go to in the middle of April (basically right in the middle), and I'd like the card for then.  I'd love to buy an EVGA FTW3 here but if I have to buy something else to meet that deadline then I will unfortunately.

I'm using an i5 4690k (OC'd 4300mhz) and 1080 FTW at 1440p resolution.  I can say that my CPU is not bottle-necked playing Witcher 3 with nearly everything maxed (~70-80 fps), although I think it utilizes about 60-80% on 4 cores. (Edit: there are a some places where it does max my CPU, and GPU utilization goes down a bit, but it isn't constant).
It'll depend on the games you play, as some are more CPU bound.  I play GW2 a lot (an MMO), and it is heavily reliant on single core performance.  I get no benefit from the 1080 vs the 670 I used to use.
Playing at 1080p will likely get you closer to CPU bottle-neck than 1440p and beyond.  I'd recommend monitoring the CPU and GPU utilization during gameplay to see if your CPU is being utilized at 90% and above and if your GPU is not being utilized to it's potential.  If the CPU is working hard and the GPU is not, you may have a bottle-neck, unless it's a game that simply doesn't need the GPU power.
Synthetic benchmarks like Firestrike will benefit from more CPU in the overall score, but it doesn't always translate to better gaming performance in certain games.

Interesting. "A few weeks" could still mean May though.
