I would love to see a 1080 ti hydro copper for all us water coolers out there. Speaking of the hydro copper I have noticed there is been a lot of work done to your air coolers but the waterblock for the hydro copper has remained the same for years. It would be nice to have a larger acrylic window on the card to see the fluid.

Anyhoo any EVGA card you can waterblock down the road so no biggie.

Thanks! I got the "combo" before they went out of stock. That was a pretty cool tip.

Not many things to change on a waterblock, lol.

Not to mention, the 900 series and later blocks were significantly different than the previous version. The swifttech block had a crosscut channel. Ek used direct pass through fins, not crosscut. I think the 1080 took the same flow path also.

Need someone's help.. I'm wanting the new FTW3 for my first computer. I've thought about just going with the FTW2 for now then stepping up to the FTW3. BUT, it sounds like the FTW3 won't be available for the step up program. Do you guys think I should wait for the FTW3 or just get a FTW2 and hope it'll be able to step to a FTW3. I just wanna game! I've been waiting so eagerly to start building my PC... thanks for the help.

Absolutely, 100% wait. You're paying almost the same price for the FTW2 than you will for the FTW3. Don't let the urge for gaming tempt you into making a poor purchasing decision. I'm also waiting for the FTW3 and I have to buy it from Amazon and only Amazon because I have free credit there thanks to the Amazon VISA card reward points I get, and even after I buy it I'll get more reward points for the $700 purchase which I can use the month after. We're all in the waiting game, it'll be here soon :)

I'm also patiently waiting for the 1080 Ti FTW 3's as well.  I just built a solid rig and was holding out for SLI'ing 2 of these premium cards. I check my email multiple times a day and first thing in the morning to see if I get notified so I can place my order.

I don't know if i found something or not, but when you go to this URL on evga : http://www.evga.com/articles/01080/ prepare-for-battle/  ( Delete the space between / and p ) It's about the For Honor or Ghost recon Free with the 1070-1080-  a laptop and ... 1080TI

We can see a picture of the SC2 TI i believe with :

Available Part Numbers

  • 11G-P4-6390-KR
  • 11G-P4-6393-KR
  • 11G-P4-6593-KR
  • 11G-P4-6696-KR
 The P4-6390 it's the FE
P4-6393 : SC black edition
P4-6593 : SC2
PS4-6696 : FTW3

Maybe the ti will be launch end of this months or Pre order available end of the months ? Since the offer For honor or ghost recon end on the 22 or 28 I'm not sure .
What you guy's think ??
Sorry if my english is not great, I'm French.

I think I'd rather wait for the 1080 Ti FTW3 GAMING - if we could get it without the radiator and apply Phanteks' new waterblock which, apparently, works with FE...

That would be interesting

If you plan to use waterblock, go for reference PCB.

Hexus . net have a review out for the inno3D 1080ti X3 iChill....

EVGA have some place holder screens and TDB's for their cards. Come on already!!!!!

I want to replace my EVGA 780ti OC ACX with a FTW3 (preferable a hybrid by no chance I'm waiting that long). If it takes much longer ASUS, MSI, Inno3D or some other will get my money.

The 1080ti has not been added to the mass effect offer at this time. Nvidia runs the promotion, so it will be up to them if they add it.

How does evga normally go about releasing. Do they announce everything then give like a week or two between the announcement and when you can actually order? Or do they just announce and release same day? I'm curious because I've had everything for my new PC for almost 2 months and held of on buying a titan x because I had a feeling the Fe 1080ti was coming out when it did. Then I decided to hold off for a ftw 3 due to their customer service at evga, but now I'm debating if I should just grab a titan so I can actually play. Been checking the forums about 8 times a day O.o

Hey,

What do you mean by "for ln2 purpose"? Maybe I'm missing something in my tired state as I stayed up a little late playing OW/ROTR last night :)

I'm seriously considering the Strix due to the lack of information (and potential May release in the UK rumours). Probably do a similar job and can't see my card in the box anyways so dont care what it looks like. I'd like to go with EVGA as so many people say their customer service is great. Thankfully I haven't had to test that as the EVGA 780ti still works amazingly.
