Do you think I could go from the 1080 FTW ACX 3.0 to the 1080 Ti directly? I'm already sure that that's what I'm going to do anyways. I know they don't allow it, but it would save me and them a lot of money and time. They don't have to receive back and later sell a second hand 1080 FTW iCX and I wouldn't have to pay for shipping 2 times over. Also I wouldn't have to wait all those days of shipping either. I wouldn't mind paying for all the Step-Up fees all at once.

P.S. I already asked this question a little bit before, but am now asking for both sides dealing with less.

are you already in the icx upgrade program? i am 99% sure you have to do that as only the icx card will reset your step up date. Unless you still have time on your ftw acx 3.0?

Isn't there a way to renew my 90 Day Opening by renewing the warranty on the 1080 that I own right now?

nope icx upgrade was the only way and that closed on Feb 28th. Buying an extra extended warranty only helps if you missed registering with in 14 days but still have 90days left

Oh well, thats fine, I'm already qualified for the iCX upgrade and I payed already. I ALMOST canceled my iCX upgrade cause when I checked, it said this promotion was over, but because of my stubborn nature, I just left it in case they actually accept it. And to my luck, they actually did accept my request. All be it a month later but still, I'm glad I was stubborn for this time only. How much do you think it'll cost to upgrade from iCX to 1080 Ti? MSRP of iCX on website is 589.99 and MSRP of Ti is 699.99.

pretty sure you use the price the icx was before the price drop. I am not quite sure what it is atm. also anything with evga works similar if you get in step up with one day left you are still good even if it takes a month tell you have to pay as long as you get in que before something ends they honor it. Since you will have a lot of days left in your step up from the icx upgrade it may be worth waiting to see if they add an icx type cooler with a reference pcb like the sc black to the step up in the next few weeks.

It's probably from the MSRP after price drop for me though, because I didn't accept/pay for my Step-Up until after the price drop. Is there a link where they say which MSRP they use?

I saw people say that the MSRP of the FTW2 was 679.99. So what you're telling me is that I can get the 1080 Ti for 20 USD? Theres gotta be something else. No way that could be a thing.

pretty much 20 plus your shipping to them and paying for shipping back. that the reason so many people are jumping on it as for 20$ and shipping two ways you get a 1080ti. Be prepared for it to take a while though. Evga's step up program is a one of a kind thing and is quite amazing

Ok, so I take it you are in Canada. Here are the costs for you.

ICX upgrade $99 usd (I believe you said you paid)
Shipping ACX card to Brea $60 cdn (that is what it cost me to ship there xpresspost 3 business day with insurance)

Step up value for ICX (well the FTW2 that is) is $679.99 usd
You will have to pay the difference, so $20 usd + shipping which is another $49-51 usd
And you will of course have to send in the ICX card so another $60 cdn

So total cost? After exchange rate and such you are looking at about $350 cdn to go from the acx to icx to 1080ti.

Hope that helps.

Tomorrow will be two weeks since the FE was released and I read somewhere (I don't recall myself) that it was two weeks between FE and AIB for the 1080. So what are the chances of something being announced tomorrow?

Thank you for replying to me so much! But mustn't I pay for the shipping back to Canada also? And are there cross border fees?

Actually, you are wrong.  There are a lot of improvements needed to existing waterblocks:

1) Water block re-design desperately needed to cool both the front AND back of the card (EVGA and EKWB do NOT offer this kind of design and only cool the front side) - back plates are not very useful and serve more as an aesthetic purpose.  Back plates can provide minimal secondary passive cooling to components when TIM is used in between the plate and the backside of the card, but not nearly as effective as a water block design that would cover both sides of the card ;-)

2) Barb/fitting holes need to be moved toward the rear of the card in order to make room for 3rd party HB SLI bridges; i.e. Nvidia HB bridge won't fit onto an EVGA Hydro copper card because of this very issue.

3) Water blocks need to have thermostat probes prebuilt into the blocks so that both component and coolant temps can be monitored 'out of the box' without having to mod anything!

None of what you mention is "NEEDed", those are all wanted. You're wants don't make me wrong.

1) Use an laser thermometer of IR gun to read the back of the card while using water.. the back doesnt get that hot, and there isnt many things back there to cool, so you are making this waterblock thicker for absolutely minimal gains. It's not the same as air cooled cards. The water already draw a lot of heat out of the front of the card, which helps keep the back cool.

2) buy a bridge that fits. Its that simple. When a company makes their bridge incompatible, dont buy an incompatible product. Dont force the entire industry to change because someone else makes a bad decision. Nvidia's bridge is the only one incompatible that I can see.

3) Probes are available for relatively cheap prices. Not everyone wants cables hanging from their blocks, so having an option to pay an extra $20 to $30 on top to have one sensor would be beneficial to the people that want it, but I doubt many people would pay the extra cost honestly.

You never said or provided such a disclaimer.  What I stated is valid and you were wrong.

That is your opinion, whether you are right or wrong, it is yours. Just because your opinion doesnt align with mine, means nothing about someone being right or wrong.

Provide information showing that the back of gpu's need to be cooled after the front is watercooled.. please.. because you provided an unfounded opinion, and I would like to see more.

Tomorrow will be two weeks since the FE was released and I read somewhere (I don't recall myself) that it was two weeks between FE and AIB for the 1080. So what are the chances of something being announced tomorrow?
it was 16 days from 1080fe to acx card release

Frequencies are now listed on EVGA's website. Discuss!

Also, why are the dimensions the same for all the cards?

There is a thread about frequencies started, and no idea about the dimensions, but the question is out there.

So how long did it take to go from the 1080fe to the 1080 hydrocopper?  Also the 980ti fe and the 980ti hydrocopper. I hope its not to much longer then the icx cards...  I need more vram bad.   Also when the next cards come out 1180 can i do a step up and get another hydro copper or would it just go toward a "fe"?

Looks like today is the big day for AIB
Newegg is already starting to add cards, though they're not available to buy yet

When I looked a minute ago I saw an MSI card, refresh and it's gone. Hmmm.
