Nvidia's GDC gtx 1080ti livestream.

Then presumably that would be in reference to the FE cards, which doesn't really affect what we're talking about (AIB MSRPs). The reason is that nVidia doesn't really set the prices of non-reference cards. nVidia set the base price, their FE MSRP, and then everyone sets MSRPs for their higher end products off of that (because obviously they wouldn't price it lower than the FE and leave money on the table).

In May, it is possible.
If you want to buy it without extra charge, directly from Amazon.

I also hope for 800.

Nobody is going to know until/unless the cards officially appear as a step up option.  Odds are, from numerous posts, you will NOT be able to step up to an SC2 because it uses a custom PCB.  The most likely option will be the Black which uses a reference board, but until it shows up on the list, it's just conjecture.  And assuming it appears on the list while your step up period is still in effect.

I hope EVGA does not bundle their AIBs tomorrow with their low selling G2 / G3 Power supplies. which could be why they are still not giving out prices!  Hope i did not give this last minute idea to EVGA

Remember, the Black is NOT a reference card.  It is overclocked...so EVGA may or may not offer it.  During the release of the 1080 series...the SC was up for an hour after launch in Step up, then removed and never showed up again.  The only reason most got SC during the original launch was because the 1080 Gaming ACX was very limited in release and they had to fill orders for it by supplying the SC in it's place.  Here...there seems to be a ton of FE's and it is considered reference

True, I mainly meant that it was a reference PCB (included DVI port aside).

You are absolutely correct...but the clock speeds of the Black are the "way out" from offering...it would be a pretty bold move on EVGA's part to release them...

It made sense to buy the EVGA cards when they were cheaper than the FE but if they're $80 more this time for an FTW...nope

So the FE's are usually more than the aftermarket?

Nvidia originally had the FE series at a price premium. They dropped that strategy for the Ti cards. It was 100 for 1080s and 50 for 1070s. So now the FE is at the base price and all the aftermarket cards go up from there.
