All I got to say is some people get BR's for the stupidest stuff & others that do promote EVGA & care about the forums get carped on all the time from BR's to contests!

I cannot disagree. Like the one I gave you for telling us about the new EVGA shirts. Falls right in there does it not?

You have a very high amount of BR's. So you too have a good grasp on what it takes.

That is one of the messages we are trying to help deliver. We WANT to give them out to those that have gone above and beyond.

Think of it like this... If you "Deserved" a speeding ticket but no Officer saw it, do you go to an Officer and say you earned one and please give it to me?

I can personally say I have in my mind earned far more BR's than I have. But I learned early on to not make posts looking for or hoping or anticipating to get a BR. But when I do get one it is VERY gratifying... I also know for a fact countless members here have as well. But I was not a MOD then. I am now.

Also SBB... Please know this. I thought on this for weeks before starting this thread. And decided I needed to as a way to help inform folks of what we look for and hopefully remove some of the false perceptions. And lets be honest. We as MODs are human too. It never hurts to see what others think is a BR quality post and improve on our own ideas of what BR quality posts are.

So keep up the good work and stay your course. I have no doubts you will earn many more BR's n your time here

Very well said and I agree. I'm sure I've also posted what would be BR worthy material far more than the 93 current ones I have as well. I know my count "should" be higher as I lost about 15 counted ribbons when we switched to the new forums (as well as about 600 or so counted posts) But i never posted and asked for a BR until this thread either. The only reason I did was because I saw everyone else doing it so I followed suit. I like to think I have a pretty good grasp of what constitutes a "BR worthy" post as well.

Thank you for the clarity AB & one more thing that's I have been mad at for a while is that EVGA needs to have a forum members only contest that's not on EVGA's home page but here in the General Discussion for us that's on here regularly!

Ya I'm gonna have to ++++ 10 for that. A contest that rewards regular members. Real simple .... keep it a "post count " minimum

This is a great example of where I feel since you already are helping and received a BR for this issue in the very same thread, that a second one is to much. I do know however that another MOD could disagree.

Perfect example. Thank you!

Well every contest that EVGA has is open to the public why can't there be a private one for members only!

BTW, your right about BR counts I think I should have more but maybe I should be happy with what I have!

I disagree, as both posts are not concerning the same matter. One is how to mod a PSU and the other is explaining current conversions and how to figure them out.

No worries... I see it as the issue is still being worked out and if it is the PSU or not in both posts. That said, it is still in the same thread and do not feel it warrants a second BR as the idea is helping the OP in that thread. Now had it been in another thread helping another member... Well yeah of course. BR worthy for certain...
