Hey, I finally ordered 2 evga gtx 580's with 2 backplates and 2 highflow brackers... but how do I install them?

Do I need anything special, other then that T6 Torx (which i have no idea where to buy, microcenter guy was clueless when i went there to ask today). Does it require any thermal paste or anything to attach the backplate?

Any help would be nice, thanks.

    where to find a cheap screwdriver tho? the Torx T6 i see is included in sets on newegg... but blah... need to buy like 30 different ones just to get that one, sigh.

    Go to your local hardware store. They can be bought for a few bucks. (Sears should have them too.)

    My question is why, what is the benefit of the backplate....protection?

    i have a home depot near my house... would they have it? no sears tho... uh... walmart, target and home depot in the shopping center nearby.

    I hear it may lower the temp by a couple degrees also.

    alrighty class just ended, i'll get back on here after the drive home, will peek into home depot and if i dont see anything i'll just nab that one from amazon, thanks for the help.
