Can this be done to other GTX 680 cards ?

Works on all of the 600 series.

I tried to follow your steps though after double clicking on the .bat files , nvidia inspector comes up but i dont see any changes in voltage and the voltage still stays the same as 1.175

can anyone suggest a good overclock offset and power offset and memory offset so i can try to use?
im kinda new to this.
i have a ASUS gtx 680 direct cu ii TOP but im using the EVGA precision X to overclock.

Nvidia Inspector must be installed to this exact location for the .bat files to function correctly. (C:\Program Files (x86)\nvidiainspector\nvidiaInspector.exe)

#7 Create Force Idle & Force Constant Boost .bat files for Nvidia Inspector. (These two .bat files will allow to to idle down your GPU Boost & Voltage or set it back to Constant Boost & Max Voltage as needed.)
- Open 2x Notepad (Click Start and type in Notepad and hit Enter.) <<Do this twice.
- Copy and Paste this... "C:\Program Files (x86)\nvidiainspector\nvidiaInspector.exe" -forcepstate:0,8 into your first Notepad, Save AS... Force Idle.bat and save to Desktop.

With the new 310.70 drivers, the voltages do not stick to max anymore with the force constant boost. Instead it just goes to max when needed which is perfect.
Thanks for this :)

I know what you did wrong, you forgot to disable k-boost within precision before uninstalling and updating to the newest driver, after you have updated to 310.70 you must then re-enable k-boost.

Are you sure? because after Sajin helped me with mine, i upgraded to 310.70 and it did not fix the throttle issue.
i still had to use the .bin files to load and idle.

But, what I'm saying is that it is perfect right now!
When windows starts I run the Idle batch. Before playing  I run the Force Boost batch and it doesn't go immediately to max voltage, but when I open a game it does.
Before this, the voltage would immediately go to max voltage while still in windows.
Am I making myself understandable?

Yes, you are making yourself understandable, to restore immediate max boost & voltage while in windows (like how it was before) all you need to do is disable k-boost then re-enable it again, then it should work like it used to.

Cool!
I think I will leave it like this now :)

EDIT: Well my graphic was unstable. Far Cry 3 was crashing to desktop. Disabled/Enabled K-Boost and everything is normal now. Also back to the full voltage as it was before too.
Thanks for this tips

Instead of doing all this Voo Doo trickery, EVGA should release BIOS for our cards, that will force the card to run at full boost during gaming or running graphical apps.

The new driver has fixed this.. i can no longer use sajin .bin files ... i cant force the card to stay at max boost 24/7 anymore.
The new driver idles when nothing is happening full throttle during game play.

You forgot to disable k-boost before upgrading to the newest driver. The .bat files still work for me on the new 310.70 WHQL drivers. Disable then re-enable k-boost should fix you up.

Hello,

Having some problems here.

I have 3 GTX680 Classifieds Running Driver Version 310.70
All 3 of my cards have the Bios Switch set to OC

I did the instructions exactly

I made sure "start with windows was checked" in PrecisionX

Every time i reboot, My voltage goes back to default!

Maybe i am doing something wrong?

I have not yet ran the .bat files because i noticed this after rebooting after enabling K-Boost.

Just saying for sake of making sure, make sure K-Boost is off before installing driver.Off as unchecked and rebooted as instructed when unchecked it.Can cause major issues

Trust me, this is not the issue as i did not know anything about K-boost until i read this thread.  I have always had PrecisionX 304 and the latest Nvidia Inspector installed however.  I have always upgraded my Nvidia Drivers and never touched PrecisionX.

Should i uninstall and reinstall PrecisionX?

Are you having the same issues i am experiencing with NV drivers 310.70?

Here is what i am experiencing:
I ask this very important question because i am not pleased with version 310.70 either as my frame rate in the "witcher 2" every now and then will get cut in half for no reason and extreme stuttering will occur. Places in the game that were 60+FPS are now at a constant 45-50FPS and it never improves untill i exit the game and restart it.

Also, Every time any game tries to access my SSD to load data for example when quick saving in-game, i get a quick but terrible drop in frame rate and a quick stutter for a very quick moment. I never used to get this with Version 304.79 for example. I started to get these problems once i upgraded from 304.79 to 306 and above. It seems like Nvidia never bothered to solve these issues.

Please help

Thanks for this works great, but is there a way to start it in idle mode instead of constant boost mode.  For example when i turn on my PC or restart, I prefer it in idle mode and when Im ready to game then i'll start the constant boost.
