Thanks for this works great, but is there a way to start it in idle mode instead of constant boost mode.  For example when i turn on my PC or restart, I prefer it in idle mode and when Im ready to game then i'll start the constant boost.

Put the Force Idle.bat into your Startup folder.

I just updated my nvidia drivers, and my cards are now behaving in a weird way...

whenever I activate the "force constant boost" bat file, instead of getting to 1150mhz like before, it now goes to 732mhz for both cards... and then they start throttling...

****

(prior to updating the drivers, the fix worked perfect... no throttling)

For me, the 670 FTW was throttling for two reasons...
1) temp
2) power usage

For the first, I'm using PrecisionX software fan control with a custom fan curve that ramps from 30% @ 40c --> 75% @ 70c (and then to 100% @ 80c). That keeps mine under 70 all the time. (PrecisionX has to be running for this fan control to be in effect).

For the second, I've bumped up the power target to 115% just using PrecisionX's GUI. (PrecisionX does not have to be running for this setting to be in effect). I've got a decent 750W PSU so going a little over on power usage is not an issue.

No more throttling for either reason (and a little simpler to setup).

Put the Force Idle.bat into your Startup folder.

I am using this for some months, but recently when my windows starts, it freezes while still opening some services at the taskbar. I need to reboot the PC manually.
Although if I remove it from the Startup folder and let windows start fully, I click in the Idle.bat and works normally.
Only began happening with the recent 314.07 drivers.. (yes i did the disabling k-boost before updating)

So the .bin files still work for me when I'm not running SLI as pictured

and here

As soon as I enter SLI I am no longer running the cards at full potential. I have disabled and re-enabled the K Boost and nothing happens. It says that I need to restart my computer for changes to take effect, and that I need to disable SLI before I restart. I do what it says, then enable SLI again and still getting this

Any tips? I do believe that I had it working at one point, but I am not able to replicate what I did.

Strange, didn't happen to me when I running 314.07. Try reinstalling drivers and nvidia inspector to see if it helps.

You need to disable SLI then disable K-Boost and reboot, then enable K-Boost and reboot again, then re-enable SLI once back in windows.

I disabled K-boost clicked no to the prompt asking if I wanted to reboot then enabled it again, this time clicking yes. My cards were still SLI'd. AFter it rebooted both were showing at full throttle and still SLI'd. So I guess I'll just do that if it happens again.

Tell me please, how to do next:
1) Idle all the time in 2D
2) Constant all the time in 3D

And it gotta be fully autimatic

I put idle.bat in a Startup (but it's better to make a Windows Task with a little delay) so don't have a problem with 2D clock and voltage, and we can make a shortcuts to a bat files with appointed game and a bat file constant.cmd.

But what will be after we will exit a game? Still 3D clocks and voltage?

Yes. You will need to use idle.bat again to force idle.

Does this fix work with the GTX Titan? Will you need to make any other changes?

I just wanna be sure before I do this, as K-Boost seems to work as intended when done through Precision, but I hate having to reboot my PC for disabling and enabling it.

UPDATE: I can confirm that this works with the GTX Titan. I followed the exact steps from Sajin, and it seems that I was able to toggle between the Idle clocks, and the max boost clocks just fine.  1.175v works just fine, although I'm not 100% sure if the new overvoltage function that is offered for Titans, might exceed that voltage.
So, it seems it seems you can toggle between these different states just fine on the Titan through those .bat files :) Thanks Sajin!

Omg thank you so much.. my graphic card was random crashing in games before.. no idea why but this fixed it somehow...

>Yes. You will need to use idle.bat again to force idle.
OK, thx. I made a few shortcuts for nVidiaInspector and ScreenBright (controls brightness and contrast of monitor via DDC).
When I want to play any games, I ran one shortcut:
C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /C start /d"C:\Program Files (x86)\nVidiaInspector" /b const.cmd && start /d"C:\Program Files (x86)\ScreenBright" /b bright.cmd

And after gaming another one:
C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /C start /d"C:\Program Files (x86)\nVidiaInspector" /b idle.cmd && start /d"C:\Program Files (x86)\ScreenBright" /b dark.cmd

Inside const.cmd I have:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\nvidiainspector\nvidiaInspector.exe" -forcepstate:0,16 -setVoltageOffset:0,0,187500
"C:\Program Files (x86)\nvidiainspector\nvidiaInspector.exe" -forcepstate:1,16 -setVoltageOffset:0,0,187500
"C:\Program Files (x86)\nvidiainspector\nvidiaInspector.exe" -forcepstate:2,16 -setVoltageOffset:0,0,187500

Inside idle.cmd:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\nvidiainspector\nvidiaInspector.exe" -forcepstate:0,8
"C:\Program Files (x86)\nvidiainspector\nvidiaInspector.exe" -forcepstate:1,8
"C:\Program Files (x86)\nvidiainspector\nvidiaInspector.exe" -forcepstate:2,8

bright.cmd
"C:\Program Files (x86)\ScreenBright\ScreenBright.exe" -set brightness 300 contrast 100

dark.cmd
"C:\Program Files (x86)\ScreenBright\ScreenBright.exe" -set brightness 100 contrast 50 (can be anything you like for your monitor and eyes).

Or we can just make a shortcuts for our games and tests without ScreenBright:

C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /C start /d"C:\Program Files (x86)\nVidiaInspector" /b const.cmd && start /d"D:\Program Files\3DMark11\bin\x64" /b 3DMark11.exe
C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /C start /d"C:\Program Files (x86)\nVidiaInspector" /b const.cmd && start /d"E:\ORIGIN\Battlefield 3" /b bf3.exe
etc.
For auto idle we can make a Windows Task with idle.cmd, but what's the trigger will be, I'm not sure, maybe when our PC will be idle for 10-15 minutes.

Also I tried nVidiaInspector for disabling boost - http://www.overclock.net/...ock-speed-undervolting

But this is more complicated. So it is better to use K-Boost for constant boost and nVidiaInspector for idle state.

And tell me please, in case of quad-sli (2 x GTX 690) what it will be? What commands should I use? It will be like four single cards (GTX 680 for example) or only two single cards? Never had a bicipital card, especially two

I have a problem with using this method on the latest driver 314.14. Every time I run the Force Constant Boost it does not go all the way up to my overclock setting it just goes up to the cards base clock. Now here is the crazy part if I move my power target on any of my cards just 1% or more or less my cards clocks raise all the to my set overclock. I have to move my power target up or down every time I restart my PC so the cards will set my current overclock setting once I run the Force Constant Boost.bat. Anyone have any idea what is going on ?

It's BETA? But if WHQL etc. will have this "bug" it will be very sad
But did you disabled SLI first and then K-Boost before (with reboot) driver update? And then again K-Boost -> reboot -> SLI?.  I ask just in case

Yea I spent a good 2 hours yesterday trying to get it to work correctly and I did disable SLI before I enabled kboost. Looks like its back to the pervious driver 314.07 for the time being.

You can pin them to your start menu by pinning some other program first to the start menu then right click on that program you just added and change the target location to the location of the .bat file.

Are the cards down-clocking because of throttling issues or because they don't need to be running at full clocks?

What I find is that when I choose Maximum Quality through 'Adjust image settings with preview' and run Unreal Tournament III (UE3 engine) Afterburner shows my Core clock pegged at 1215, but when I when I manually set everything off for maximum performance Afterburner reports my Core clock fluctuating between 1005 - 1215.  it rarely hits 1215 on a side note.

Well looks like the problem I was having with the 314.14 beta is also happening in the 314.22 WHQL. Every time I run the Force Constant Boost it does not go all the way up to my overclock setting on card #1 it just goes up to the card base clock. Card #2 does go all the way up to the set overclock. Now here is the crazy part if I move my power target on card #1 just 1% more or less my card clocks raise all the way to my set overclock. I have to move my power target up or down every time I restart my PC so that card #1 will set my current overclock setting once I run the Force Constant Boost.bat. I am not having this problem with card #2. Anyone have anyone else having this what is going on or how to fix this ?

UPDATE 1: Well looks likes now its also happening to card #2 also. This sucks if every time I restart my pc I have to move my power target slider up or down on both cards so it can set the correct overclock setting when I click Force Constant Boost. I hope someone has I a fix for this . . .

P.S. I did disable K-Boost before I updated my drivers to 314.22.

Well I just spent 1 hour trying to fix this issue but could not. It looks like either Nvidia changed something in these new drivers or there is a bug in Precision X and K-Boost or both. It would be great if someone with 2 or more cards in SLI can confirm if they also having the same issues as me. I hope someone can come up with a fix soon.

Well I just tested out your method and still having the same problem its strange because if I go back to driver 314.07 or older the downclocking fix works perfectly. Any newer driver seems to be having issues with this fix I wish someone could give it a try and post back if they are having the same problem as me. Till this issue gets sorted out guess I will have to keep moving my slider up or down when I boot my pc so i can fix the clock problem.
