7 days now rocking this new 3090 FTW3 Ultra without a glitch. Some heavy gaming every day. So far so very good ! With my overclock of +143 on GPU it boost to a constant 2100 MHz with GPU temp not exceeding 60c whilst gaming. Upgraded my VR Friday from a Rift S to the higher resolution Reverb G2. The card is doing great driving the new Reverb G2 as well! Getting my turn in que for the 3090 was great timing for me.

Happy for you! Unfortunately I've had a few problems with intermittent black screens and programs being shut down, and this isn't even when gaming! I'm going to try a full clean install of windows as a last effort to resolve. The card still operates after these black screens, but it's feeling like it's only a matter of time.

The two sides of the spectrum, more or less. Nereus, sorry to hear about your troubles. Don, you continued reporting brings us all hope. Thanks for giving us a glimpse of the pleasure and the pain of what may await on the other side of our purchase. It serves as a stark reminder...it is about the journey, not the destination. Just got back from picking up my case, mobo and CPU from Microcenter here in Houston. There were 25 people sitting outside the front door all waiting to see if any 3080 or 3090s showed up today. Guys inside said it is like that daily there! Just wow! On the topic of Microcenter, what a bunch of deceptive jackwads. The guy that was "helping" me (read: when and retrieved what I asked for out of a locker) was trying to upsell me on buying the MC warranty for $50 on the CPU and $70 on the mobo. I said no. Then he started fast talking a bunch of BS that was complete misinformation. CPU and mobo warranty are lost if XMP is enabled. BS. Warranty is lost if you watercool. BS. I wonder how many folks ignorant of the facts are getting fleeced by these jokers! I doubt I'll ever set foot in that store again.

Yikes. Sounds like the later days of Gamestop...where it was all about the secondary sale of used game and the scratch warranty and other crap. Are you sure the folks outside were waiting for 30 series and not AMD cpus? I would think that would generate the longer lines these days...or they were waiting in line for the AMD 6000 series (please tell me that was NOT the case). People have too much time on their hands...Retail is a scary place these days....

May have been both. I doubt the MC guys asked all of them but they were pretty certain at least a portion were waiting for 30 series cards. I now have everything for my new rig except a GPU. And the rest of my watercooling setup which I will order shortly. Can't wait to upgrade from my i5-2500k with a 1070 to my new i9-10900k with a 3090!

You better factor in a wait for the GPU block if you are planning to water cool that. :/

I am planning to watercool it. But given the issues you and others have had, I will probably start with it aircooled and plumb it in later if the card is good. I'd hate to tear it down, plumb it in and have it die a week later.

Agreed. That is a lot of work if the card turns out to be questionable. If I had more confidence in my tear down skills, I might go that path.... Good luck!

I managed to get a gigabyte 3090 from Newegg awhile back so it's not urgent, I'll probably sell it though and get a XC3 or FTW Hybrid card if/when I can though.

My 3090 FTW3 is ordered.. thank you notify queue. So I was wondering, those of you that received yours: 1. Is this as easy as say the 2080 or whatever 20 series install was? Remove old card, put new card and sag helper in.. plug cards in to PSU... power up.. load up in windows default drivers.. update drivers via nvidia program? 2. Start using computer Just thought I would ask. I know I have to have 3 PCI cables and I should have them.. ordered through cable mod full extra long replacements rated for my PSU.

wodell's registration was at 9:12:30. The queue moved to at least 10:24:41 (at least two hours and 10 minutes today (possibly more)); a decent sized drop!!!
On the spreadsheet, wodell was at 9:12:30 PM! That's more like 12 hours!

You are correct, sir! I sit corrected. Verrry niiiiice!!! Edit: It appears from other date/time stamps that have yet to receive emails (as confirmed by a review of https://www.evga.com/community/myNotifies.asp), that Wodell's "PM" designation may be in error. The most recent date/time stamp I have for this queue prior to Wodell's is 10:24:41 on the morning of 10/6. It did sound like Wodell's date/time stamp was too good to be true.

What date and time is the 3987 on? I put in a notify on 10/6 shortly after 6 PM.

Per the discourse re wodell757's registration just a few posts above yours, it sounds like 9:12:30 pm on 10/6 -- which would mean you should have received your "invite to purchase" email. Check you in-box and spam folders!!! Good luck!

Are they still working on send out notifications? My notify date was 10/6/2020 3:07:53 PM PT for the 3090 FTW3 Ultra and web shows no notify email sent. I am #394 on the spreadsheet? Checked all possible mailboxes and nothing..

What do your auto-notifies say on the webpage: https://www.evga.com/community/myNotifies.asp ? Is there a "yes" next to the 3987 sku? We are working from Wodell's self-reported 21:12:30 time stamp. If that is in error, than the next most recent time stamp that I trust is 10:24:41 am on 10/6.

That suggests to me that Wodell's self-reported time stamp is an error. I would rewind the head of the queue to 10:21:41 am on 10/6. Sorry for any confusion that this may have caused. I will edit my posts above as well.

d.burnette 7 days now rocking this new 3090 FTW3 Ultra without a glitch.
Oh man so sorry to hear that, hope it all gets sorted soon!
