I just installed hybrid kit for 3080 ftw3 and ran into a problem. Once a minute or so radiator fans spin up to 2500 - 3000 rpm for a few seconds and then go down. Very annoying. I tried custom curve in precision x1, the silent one, and it still does it. Anyone ran into same issue?

Here is the BIOS updates to turn the card into a HYBRID. Each .zip includes 2 files. One for Normal BIOS and one for OC BIOS. Only install this update if the HYBRID kit is installed.

Is this one XOC version or I have to install the XOC separately after installing this one?

There is, check the OP on the 3080 XOC thread. There is an XOC bios for Hybrids. Once you convert an air card to hybrid with the conversion bios above the you flash the Hybrid XOC bios (if you want to have a 450w power limit).

Its meant for FTW 3 Ultras (the ftw hybrids have the same clocks as ftw3 ultras). I have done it already on mine and it's fine, matter of fact, Precision x1 recognizes the card now as FTW3 Ultra hybrid.

Okay this isn't working for me. Originally I had flashed teh Hybrid XOC bios first and it flashed fine. I tried flashing 2 and then went to step 3 and it doesn't detect a compatible card. Edit: Silly me, didn't reboot my computer.

Hey Jacob, thanks a lot for posting these. Any chance you could create a thread dedicated just to the FTW3 Air -> Hybrid conversion steps that links to these .zips, and includes the order of operations for people in this scenario? (e.g. flash the normal and OC BIOSes from these zips, then install the Hybrid XOC BIOS) There are still lots of questions floating around in other threads and I think a new one from you, similar to how you made one for the XOC Beta BIOSes, would help to clarify things for the community. Thanks!

Are there any revert flashes to flash it back to 3090 FTW instead of the hybrid? The hybrid bios reduced my port royal scores by 1000.

I reverted to original bios as well. Hybrid bios is so much worse.

Yeah those Hybrid bioses Jacob posted are great (LEDs work properly, fans show 2 instead of 3), but the fans are really not good. It looks like the OC bios fan speeds are set to a minimum 40%, and the normal bios won't allow fan 1 to go below 20%. I reverted back to the aircooled bios and can set my fans the way I like again.
Btw, last time I tried plugging all four radiator fans (Noctuas) into the hybrid fan header pigtail and they were locked at 1500rpm.

Using this hybrid kit is unbearable. No matter what I do, even if I set all fan speeds statically, it keeps ramping up to 100% speed every minute.

It must be a software issue or something. I have no idea how some people are getting it to work. I have a ftw3 Ultra. I had the same problems. Did you have a ftw3 Ultra? This could mean that the ultra models and hybrid kits are not supported with current firmware and software! We solved it dude! Maybe. Idk. Someone needs to verify that they used an Ultra model.
