So this could be a multitude of problems. As always, try downloading a piece of software called DDU and clean your drivers in safe mode, then reinstall the latest nvidia drivers directly from their site. . Experiment with the system then if the issue persists, try setting your windows 11 TDR_DELAY value in registry to 10. It defaults to 2 and when it hits it, it restarts the driver (black screen) or blue screens out.
You can try to fix this by following this guide / If this fixes it, good, however its more like putting a bandage on a wound rather than getting stiches.
If your black screens continue, then I'm afraid there is something wrong with your card and to contact support. I'm on my 4th RMA of my 3080 Ti for sporadic issues, and the issue your describing is the exact same issue I'm having with my card right now. After 6 months of headache, I asked for an upgrade to the 3090, but unfortunately EVGA support denied my claim. I use my computer for work, but I guess that doesn't really matter to them. However, they are sending me a BNIB 3080 Ti to replace the broken 3rd 3080 Ti. I sure hope that quality control is being looked at, or at the very least beef up the retest requirements in their SOP for cards that are refurbished/sent out BNIB. If cards are failing on arrival to the customer after being run through retest in the labs, then those retests need to be changed. I'm crossing my fingers that this new card works great, but I'm not holding my breath.
It's not all bad though, my wife's EVGA 3080 FTW3 came in handy so I could get back to work, and my son is having absolutely no problems with his EVGA 3060 Ti XC, so it is a great company, I just wish that my case was handled better rather than being sent the same sku card over and over again. I did buy the 10 year warranty for a reason though.
Hopefully the first step fixes your problem so you don't have to be out a graphics card. The COVID-era cross-ship prices are a bit steep if you don't have a high limit credit card (I have two cross ships, essentially 4 3080 Ti's on my credit card statement right now). Man, this makes me angry. Yet again another 3080 Ti with problems...
