when you can go out a buy a 3080 off the shelf in every store then they will think about pushing out a Ti otherwise there is no point.

That was the old way of doing business. Now everything is chaotic with no sense. - Why all those models and SKUs?
- Why Kingpin edition = micro production?
- Why retailers = scalper sponsors have more cards then loyal customers in queue?
- Why no anti boot measures?
- Why Amazon, New Egg etc. are sponsoring 2 3 or even 4 times overpriced stuff?
Example: NEW ROTEN EGG is allowing a quad price scalpers jump in a day! Uni fan jumped from $25 to $100. Yes, set of 3 is cheaper then just one single fan.

Nvidia will almost certainly announce the 3080Ti when the 6900XT benchmarks hit. So shortly after December 8th.

 EVGA will Never make comments about any Nvidia product that has not Launched or has had information officially released by Nvidia you know ....... NDA I have no idea if or when such hardware may or may not ... become a real thing

But what if they say it with a smile on their face here on the forums with the actual 3080 Ti in front of them. That's a lot of willpower. I would have just at least told my pet dog that it exists just to get it out of my chest.

The launch of some type of 3080Ti isn't officially confirmed but is pretty much 100% going to happen. But there's been a lot of speculation around things like core count, memory bandwidth, total memory, and price. We're likely going to be looking at 20GB GDDR6x. Between 19.5GBps to 22GBps depending on whether it'll be on a 320 bit bus as opposed to 384 on the 309 because extra memory bandwidth would be needed for any core count increase. And core count likely to jump to somewhere between 9800-10500. Most likely not the top end of that, otherwise it'd hurt the 3090 sales too much. That's all Nvidia can do to squeeze a product in between the 3080 and 3090. With the exception of a surprise release of TSMC 7nm dies. I would doubt that. If anything, Nvidia will save that for next year with a refresh that enables lower to similar power usage with 25% higher clock speeds.

TI and super cards on hold. They have decided to try to catch up on the products they already have out. Looks like AMD was not as big as threat as they thought since they have even less stock of products than NVIDIA.

Funny how theres chip shortage but Nvidia can split the product stack with cmp and now 3080ti and 3070ti. Where did all the silicon suddenly materialise from?
Either they continue producing 3070 and 3080 or they cease and produce 3070ti and 3080ti only.

Unfortunately, demand vs availability has only gotten worse, and awareness of the queue is more widespread since launch, so I have a feeling that even if I sign up for the queue on day one this time, it still could be months before I'd see a 3080 Ti unless I get lucky and make it through all the server traffic to get a very early notification timestamp. The really depressing part is that even if it does take months, the queue will still probably be the best option.

Personally I'm not holding out hope for any normalization of the market until Q4 2021. The one thing people need to remember is:
EVGA does not manufacture a single die. Every single one is provided contractually by Nvidia. They, meaning EVGA, have essentially zero control over how many die are produced and limited contractual control over allotments. In other words, they are wholly dependent upon Nvidia. There is no second sourcing for GPU die.

Actually the 3080ti is probably already out, but the scalpers are probably intercepting not only all the cards but also the announcements as well (some how or another!)
