I think I saw somewhere that they were saying the RTX 3080 Ti will be announced on May 18th and the founders edition will be available on May 26th
Let's hope. Also, how did you get that link to show? I've tried different things but the forum always seems to block it (lol it's even blocked in my quote). I'm guessing I probably have to be a member for a certain amount of time.

It isn't clear whether pre-orders will opened by Nvidia, partners, or retailers. (Edit: I also can't seem to be able to paste links)

Considering the fact on some cards the queue is still on launch day... I think other AIB's wouldn't want the PR implosion when they say they wont be able to fulfill the queue before these cards go EOL

Will they not just use the 3090 coolers? Very little difference in power consumption between the two chips.

That would be a very short-sighted approach for any company that wants to survive past the pandemic and the cryptoboom. These tech companies are not run by clowns who only want cash grabs otherwise you would see them pop up and down all the time. EVGA has been around for a loooooong time. I'm trying to remember my first EVGA card. I think it might have been a 580, then a 780 Ti then dual 980 Ti. That's 10 years at least. So companies that survive the crucible, in a very overly competitive market, are aware enough to take care of as many different use-case people as they can.

I mean every single card manufacturer has had record profits this year so it’s a possibility. It seems like EVGA is the only company that it trying to buy good will with consumers.
