bcavnaugh The Black Graphics Cards are Not Factory Overclocked and are locked for the most part.
hmm. what about XC gaming ? Anything other than that will be 2.75 slots. Regarding what to CPU / Motherboard to get, it seems there are some leaks about Intel 10th Gen. looks like Intel had something up their sleeves to counter AMD. They always have. AMD 5700 , then Super came out of no where. new RYZEN 7 and 9 CPUs, leaks started to appear ... I guess I will wait on CPU / Motherboard card.

AMD is an unknown from me, I have one with a single 1080 Ti but it is going to be taken down and used for parts by years end.

Thanks for the info. I changed my mind about the Z390. I don't want to go main stream for this build. So I narrowed selections to either Intel 9900X or 2950X. Both are great processors but I guess AMD has the bang for buck. Will do more research to help me decide.

Yeah. Which makes it very hard to decide but If I keep waiting for new tech , I will never buy something I got the Cosmos 700M case already. So it is very hard to wait now. Need to get me some new toys.

Get a single Titan RTX and put it on a waterblock with a large external radiator or small chiller. Totally not kidding. Don't think that SLI is a viable update path, most people are not satisfied with the support these days. Really hard to justify the X299 or x399 unless you're doing heavily multithreaded workstation tasks and are going to exploit the pcie lanes with cpu bus attached NVME storage. Otherwise the 9900K or Ryzen Gen 3 is more than enough. Be sure to get an Optane OS drive plus a large NVME drive. Also 64GB of ram, it's cheap right now.

I am not really a water cooling guy. Im getting 32 GB C14 Corsair RGB pro 4x 8 GB 3200MHZ. I won't have custom loop for this build. so for CPU AIO and for GPU stock coolers. the maximum I can do with GPUs is EK MLC blocks. That's the maximum I can do for water cooling. so for my build what I have now. Cosmos 700M. Just ordered Evga 1600 T2 PSU and black sleeve kit. next purchase is going to be memory and maybe fans. still not decided on CPU, motherboard, and dual slot or 2.75 slot Ti's

Hey, everybody has their personal preferences. Nice case! 32GB seems like the new standard for builds, 64GB for high end builds. I'm not a believer in extra fast premium memory personally, there seems to be diminishing (1-2%) improvement beyond 2666 CL14 or equivalent actual latency, so might as well pay for more capacity and have the future proofing. Just my opinion. I'm doing 4k 60hz, so I'm by far GPU bottlenecked. Had a 2080 and wasn't satisfied with the performance. Looked into getting a 2nd 2080 down the road for SLI and the overwhelming opinion was that SLI was a technological dead end for general use due to poor support and scaling. Thus I bit the bullet and stepped up to a 2080 Ti XC Gaming that has been performing superlatively so far, and I've got a hybrid kit in hand to put on it, planning custom fans for the radiator. It just seems to make more sense to put efforts to getting the most powerful single card you can afford and going to any lengths you consider reasonable to keep it as cool as possible, so you can feed it as much power as possible.

One Z390 Dark coming right up I guess I will go with XC Gaming version of 2080 Ti . OK.. Just want to update you with what I have got so far: Cooler Master C700M 4x Corsair LL140 Fans Corsair Commander Pro Fan Controller Corsair RGB Pro 32GB 3200 MHZ Dual Kit Evga SuperNova 1600W T2 Power Supply Evga Black Sleeved Cable Kit Evga Z390 Dark Intel Core i9 9900K NZXT Kraken X72 AIO WD Black SN570 1TB with heatsink 3x Corsair LL120 Fans to replace fans on NZXT Kraken X72 The only pending componnt is the graphics card. I decided to go for dual slot, Evga 2080 Ti XC Gaming. I will be tough much tubing / wiring if I go for hybrid. I want to minimize cable clutter to make it look as clean as possible. for 1 2080 Ti XC , then another one down the road. What thermal paste are you guys using ?

While I'm very happy with how my XC is running, I only bought it because it was the stepup option and I would put the hybrid on it. For air cooling at the very least the XC Ultra for an extra $50 is the way to go, or preferably the FTW3 Ultra. Unfortunately your Z390 Dark is not 4-slot spacing to accommodate SLI with those two cards. How about a nice Asus WS Pro Z390? https://www.eteknix.com/asus-ws-pro-z390-motherboard-review/

I already ordered Z390 Dark. So that's why I think I am tied with dual slot for NVLink. Even Z390 dark can run NV-Link with FTW 3's but they will be almost touching. it is going to be horrible for heat and the poor NMVe drive will get bbq'd. And I am not planing on crazy over clocking for the cards. I am ok with factory OC. Even for my 1080's FTW3 , i am not overclocking them. So putting all the in mind, Dual slot cards (XC Gaming) is the only choice if I want NV-Link , on Air. No custom loop is planned for the near or far future. You know , I'm glad I made the decision to go with the Z390 Dark. It's like choosing between muscle and luxury cars. Muscle all the way

I came across this image. 3 slot spacing NV-Link. And this is how it should look like if I went for FTW3 ..... Heat generation inside the case will be insane .... specially when side panel is closed. but over all I thought it could be worse. this is somewhat acceptable. I have to think about it ... XC gaming and a little bit of space to breath or this...

Get a FTW3 Hybrid then, put dual NH-A12x25 fans on the radiator and overclock it. All around it will probably do better than SLI XC's at stock clocks.

I don't want the Hybrid. Too many cable / tube cluster inside. If am getting 2 Hybrids, it will messy inside. Anyway I can't seem to find XC gaming or / FTW3 in stock on newegg (International shipping) ... I guess any of them that becomes available first, It will be the one.
