Yep.. I had to swap around GPU's.. Seems my top 1080 Ti is having issues. I swapped it to my 2nd one. PSU is like 3 more days away. My 2060 SC Super Ultra is also like 5 days away.

Cool GTX
I would have tossed 3 more GPU (2 are new ... not 30 series ) on the TZC - but it would not have helped much - to close the size of the PPD gap currently ~ 32 Million

besides my 7 GPU over 3 Rigs are pulling 2.4 KW 24/7 already ... not sure I want to pay for another 900 watts of PPD

sounds like we’re one BadBertie away from winning....

In a similar boat to others about the prize form, I did submit it and I think it went through...but it was a white screen and I don't know for sure (should have kept adblockers off). I need to post more so I can actually PM

Either way, thanks a bunch for doing all this! It's nice to give these GPUs some more uses

Dang project 13437 is big over 6 hours per . Funny thing is says over a mil. ppd . Could turn my little 980ti into a sandbagger 2 days left give all you got Pacific

about 2hrs on a 3090 est PPD 7.4M

i was pretty spot on my estimate until i got the 3090 onboard
nice when 1 card pretty much triples your PPD
I'll have to retire the 2080ti when Ada GPU comes out ---66TF FP32 -18K cuda count???

by then i have to replace that rig anyways 3930K processor - what??? 8 years on a processor?????? - its about time
it the reason I replaced 1 rig already

My gamer is a X79 dark with 3930k running at 4400MHz for 7 or 8 years . Only reason I can see to update it is if it dies . Just updated the hard drives think I will replace the PS next seems like only thing that dies , think I am on 4th one .

you're all set

People that got a white screen probably clicked on the link on the TZC site and scrolled down to fill in their choices.  After hitting submit they didn't scroll back up to the top of the window.  If you use the link from the forums its not an issue.

Thanks!  I can confirm my brain is a melted pile of goo.  (one example is that it takes me a second to make sure I didn't type brian instead of brain every time I type brian.)

Just goin over my expenses and just when you think the hardest part about doin your taxes...

Is listenin to all your old favourite tunes playin in the background and tearing up to em...
Especially Pink Floyd's "Time"
No...as bad as Time can play on you it can't beat the joy you find in...
Seeing your power bill go down by $8 and realizing  the folders aren't competing with the AC...

THEN...realising that the guest house costs $40 less than yours...and it has an Electric Car plugged into it

Hardest part is...
you haven't got the latest Power Bill since the Upgrade of another folder with 4 gpu's...

help me lord help me

Very close...$400 per bill
Very good Guess Cool..
Just looked back over the year
Just before I started Foldin my bill was $221 and had gone down 20% from previous year. (2018)
This is this 2020

Really didn't change much and I am not on equal payments..lol
I might be worried about nothing.
Overall my hydro has gone up $180 per bill approx..just hope I don't see another large jump
I have 4 little watt monitors being shipped to help tweak it down..

Hmmmm, 24 hours after  1 rig had a meltdown the house felt chilly and I had to bleed the oil line to my boiler. After checking my nest thermostat history I found that none of four thermostats have called for heat since the 19th of December. Electric bill may be a whopper this month but my oil bill sure ain't.

Re: 2020 Time Zone Challenge 2020/12/28 16:25:09 (permalink)
That's been a nice part for me during this, when I'm asleep I let it fold til I wake up at least, "free heat", at least it's probably cheaper than running my electric room heater, I'd wager that thing pulls more than this GPU does while folding (320-420W), so I'm doin' some good while keeping the room warm, it's crazy how much warmth that lil' 240mm radiator puts out when it's folding or gaming though, in the 34-38C range of air temp :-P And we're on solar so what we put back in to the grid during the day offsets what I use at night.  At least I assume so, I don't pay the whole bill :-P But I know during the summer our electric bill was like $25/month with the refrigerated air AC of the house running the majority of the day.
I just wish I'd gotten the Kingpin in before the challenge started so I coulda put more in, but alas, wasn't meant to be.  Hopefully I won't be waiting too much longer on that swap out after eVGA opens back up on the 4th.

I was thinkin of moving the farm throughout the house a bit..

I put a fan near the cold air return (in bsmt) and one threw^ the front of the miner because the bsmt suite was too warm

So, does the contest run through tomorrow or stop at midnight tonight (US EST)?
Either way it looks like the EAST can concede to the REST, GG All!

Agreed and I'll continue to fold, just need to tear down my main rig to make some improvements (Larger case so I can fit 1300W PSU, 360mm CPU AIO, & Hybrid Kit for 3080 FTW3) to squeeze more PPD out of it and don't want to before the contest ends
