I'm currently on a US Army base in Kuwait (Arabia Time Zone UTC +3:00).

Should I use that time zone or my home of record which would be East Coast US?

As an EST guy, I vote for you and your 1.7mil to fold with us.

Viper, I still use my Strike Force mug daily.

EST FTW Let's do this thing.

the simple way to divvy up the time zones are on a rotational bases. since -5 GMT is EST -4GMT would rotate back to PST and then -3 GMT to MST, -2 CST, -1 EST, 0 PST, +1 MST, +2 CST, +3 EST, and so on.

I would advice you to sign up for the "Other" Time zone if you want to.
With your big contribution we would have a better chance to try to balance the Time zones.

Please, sign up for your own Time zone, Bcavnaugh, and there are more than two "Mountain Men" folding with us.
We will do our best to try to balance the teams... I had a great time last year with the MOP team (combined Mountain/Other/Pacific Time zones).

Well we did talk about this last year as well and yes we came up with MOP, I say just split the US in Half and have two teams East -v- West.
But then it would no longer be a Time Zone Challenge.

If I remember correctly it was a pretty close race between MOP and Central for first place last year...with Eastern bringing up the rear?

Where do we draw the line?  Also, East would have a distinct advantage based on population density.  Speaking of which, I didn't implement it last year because the contest was inherently very close but I've always wanted to do a TZC weighted by population density.  Mountain probably has the lowest population density, but has (at least historically) a lot of heavy folders that could make things very interesting.

CST won last time, but I remember getting whooped by mountain before. Everyone should sign up for your respective time zone ,and it can be figured out from there. Good luck to all!!

Edit: Speaking of prize donations...some really good ones so far. Have you guys seen the G34 4P big boy, up for grabs from Zophar??
Not that the contest is about prizes, but that is pretty cool.
