I feel like if you want the "Eite" card you get bumped from first class to economy class.... having to wait till May 22nd is unacceptable, just a different color... shouldn't take more than a week to supply the card.

Looks like this is going to be another **** card instead of FTW... Just like the first batch of 1080's

EDIT: OMG censoring that is sad beyond belief....

Honestly, it's a bit of reverse thinking on your part, to think that because you didn't get your card within seconds of release, that it will effect how good the card is.  It has nothing to do with the hardware, those of you bashing the card due to a ton or pre-orders not being able to be processed within seconds need to relax.  I have a 9 year old with more patience.

I'm so glad you can mindread and exactly know what I'm thinking. Saves me some time. And you know, it's not like we have any reason to doubt either information or quality coming from EVGA. Nothing bad ever happened... Perhaps you should have consulted your 9 year old before commenting on my post

Once again you prove the point though.  You are expecting the card to not be good simply based on not getting it shipped on an "estimated" date.  It's childish, just like he is.  Maybe you should look up the definition of the word "estimate" and come back once you've learned grownup talk?

Did you see me say what you think I said ? No, so let me clarify for you: I don't expect the card not to be good based on an estimated shipping date. I expect the card not to be good because of my previous experience with my 1080's as a whole. Unfortunately, since I want to keep my options open of putting a 2nd card below the 1st, my choices are limited. Maybe you should come back once you've learned how to read comprehensive.

One more week before shipping then :/
Lucky for me I did not choose to upgrade to the Elite card, since I have a closed computer case (none window) is not the color of the cooler important for me.

Im going to suggest EVGA knew prior to May 1 they weren't going to send out many, or any internationally, and never bothered to inform us.

Disgraceful. Next time I'm seriously going to look at other options. Make us wait for a month for this card, only to be treated like **** (still no emails for AU). Get stuffed EVGA.

There is absolutely no reason EVGA wouldn't want to tell us exactly when we were getting it. They probably didn't tell us because they didn't know. Obviously something is going on with the final stages of manufacturing and they want to make sure that the cards turn our good.

Why would they deliberately piss off their customers?

Oh... you mean like communicate with us that they weren't going to make delivery when expected?

If you take a look around, people aren't overly pissed they didn't send items out on estimation date, they are pissed because we have all been misled and not told prior. There is no correspondence.

Im pissed because I have been misled in that AU orders were to get shipped along with US. We haven't even been told anything! Zip. Zero. Thats how you deliberately piss off customers. By shutting up.
If you told me there was a delay prior, I wouldn't be happy but at least ILL BE INFORMED.

EDIT: Some AU customers are being told there is no ETA. How the **** does that work, when we preordered with everyone else back in April. Says May 1. Now CS reckons they have no clue? How would you feel if you ordered back in April, instead of buying a competition card, and wait it till now, only to have no idea when to expect them?

Like I said, if they haven't given you an answer it's because they don't know the answer. Engage your brain before your fingers. EVGA have one week now to sort AU out.

Well I ordered in March and until this morning that was the exact situation I was in. I felt fine yesterday and I feel fine today. A GPU isn't the centre of my life...

A GPU is nothing in the scheme of things. Its hardly important in day to day life. Im upset because Im a principle driven character, and the issue at hand can apply to anything else in life. It could be a 50,000 dollar item, or a 50 cent item, or not a tangible piece either. Its about principle and what is right and wrong.

That's garbage.

They had one last week when they knew they didn't have inventory to fulfill all the orders. If they were waiting until the last minute in hopes it would magically appear, that was their mistake.

They advertised a date and if that date was changing they should have notified people earlier.

I think what he's trying to say is that they should have been more prepared for a big launch since demand for this particular card was high. The delay is entirely on them and customers deserve better. After all we're the one's paying a large sum of money... what this has done is build a bad rep for them. First it was the 1080/70 fiasco and now this. Won't be surprised if the same thing happens with the SC2 Hybrid. If they can't keep up with orders they shouldn't keep taking them or they should speed up their manufacturing. It's absurd that they're this late as it is, compared to the majority of other "big" brands and to make it worse they've delayed it even further for those of us in the EU/UK/AU. We should get the same service as those in the US, we're no different and in fact we're paying quite a lot more (due to higher tax etc).

This is the exact sort of vitriolic hyperbole that makes these forums such a bore to read. The 1080 "fiasco" was a just a defect in one component on a small number of cards, that EVGA have nothing to do with manufacturing, which they rectified and compensated for in record time. You only have to look at how over engineered the cooling is in the Ti FTW3 to see just how much they are trying to make up for something that was just bad luck in the first place, something they had no control over.

You guys can be as mad at EVGA as you want, i'm just trying to point out that EVGA want to do well by their customers, and saying things like "oh they knew weeks ago they wouldn't make deliver" is just plain moronic and serves no purpose other than to anger yourselves and other sensitive people.

It was an estimated ETA. Many people from many companies have to talk to each other before they can definitively come to a conclusion. They give answers when they have answers. If you don't like it, vote with you wallet if you're so sick of these problems. Those of you screaming in anger are a tiny vocal minority, most people are just going to get on with their lives and look forward to the card they ordered.

I'm not mad. I'm just annoyed. Nothing I said was moronic, it's basic business/customer service. Why should the EU/UK/AU be treated differently to US based customers? we're paying the same price for the same product (if not even more). I'm not just talking about the defect in the VRM's for the 1080/70's, in the UK they were stocked very very late so I gave up even trying to buy one because I knew the 1080Ti's were just around the corner so I waited and I'm forced to wait even longer. Feel for those in AU, they have it even worse. No update or anything lol, pretty poor from EVGA tbh.

EVGA is claiming they will deliver pre-orders for those who ordered from EVGA directly (EU) from 10th May. The way this is shaping up, Amazon, Scan, Overclockers, Ebuyer etc won't have any stock for weeks after that. I pre-ordered on Amazon weeks ago and I have still not been notified when they'll have some stock in. I've called them and talked to a few assistants on chat, none have been able to give me an estimate, which makes me believe they won't have any in stock for a long while. If I don't get an update by Friday the 5th I'm cancelling the pre-order and getting the SEA HAWK X or the Strix OC. It's becoming borderline absurd.

His source that companies know exactly how much inventory they're getting from manufacturing and they know exactly how many preorders were created and know how to subtract? I'm just gonna go ahead and chalk his source up to common f***ing sense but that's just a wild guess!
