Hey guys sorry the updated price was an error. After the cost evaluation unfortunately it needed to change because of the small run and not part of our normal volume product, but the there was an error when input. The correct price is $159.99

Thanks for the clarification. But I will be honest, I do think it is priced too high. As everyone else is saying unless there is some major difference it should be at least close to the 1080 hybrid cost. $139.99 I could see maybe, but we are looking at $40 more. Which for me would be closer a $50 difference, $160 cdn vs $213 cdn . Add that to the pricey shipping and it becomes a hard pill to swallow.

I'd buy it too, but that doesn't mean I'll should ignore the price gouging (assuming that is what this is, since I have not seen EVGA respond to it). This just isn't the sort of thing most of us expect from EVGA - normally that behavior is reserved for EBay and third party sellers on Amazon and Newegg, and certainly people comment on that too, but again people still buy the stuff as well. Capitalism in action, however there's other factors to think of - such as reputation.

Hey maybe it's just a typo, or maybe the original price was a typo, or maybe there's a lot more involved in the manufacturing of this kit than we're aware of.. or maybe it's just business and profit, and reputation can go fornicate itself in a dark corner somewhere as far as EVGA is concerned. :D

It surprised me, because this is intended to replace the other AIO models as this is designed to fit all the reference blower models from the 1070 to the TITAN (p). So the 'limited run' thing throws me off.

You're aware that this kit is for all of the blower reference cards from the GTX 1070 to the TITAN (P) right? And you're aware that I used the terms 'essentially the same' and  not 'identical', for a reason.

Yes.

Yes.

Then why would you frame your post to me as both being "exactly the same" when we both know that isn't the point? The point is according to EVGA's marketing material, other than fitment for GPU models, this is functionally the same as the $119 model and designed to replace the the other AIO models. Seems to me reducing the number of models down to one for the entire product stack would be cheaper.  In any event,  maybe the noise will result in a few less fortunate souls... saving a few shekels.

Sorry guys that price is an error, after the cost evaluation we had to change the MSRP because it is a small run and not normal volume QTY, but the price input was not right. Correct price is $159.99

Ok thanks it was an error - so from $119.99(?) all week it's going up to $159.99 instead of $179.99 because it's a small run. Fair enough, nobody expects EVGA to give it away, although given the sizable demand for this for the last 8 months by Titan XP owners (see threads here, NVidia forums, Reddit, other tech forums), and that it will also be used by the multitude of new 1080Ti FE owners, I'm surprised it's a limited run. This also makes me worry that they will sell out within minutes and there won't be any more coming. Oh noes. I'm really learning my lesson on impulse buying with this Titan lol.

Hmmm...You did a limited run on a product designed to replace AIO models for all the other 1070 through TITAN (P) reference blower cards? I'd would have thought that reducing the number of models would reduce the cost, not increase it.

Okay...so I have to ask, is the 'designed for', just for fit, or is there a functional difference?  Might as well get it all out now....

Small run? Then why is it supporting 10xx except for the FTW editions? Seems like a pretty broad scope for a "limited run"

They are creating a whole range of products like the Predator series with quick release pre-filled components so you can create your own AIO loop and pick your parts as needed, unfortunately it's been delayed according to a tweet, and may not be out until around late June now. It was initially due out right around now.

Or just sit back and watch EK's page for their AIO's which will probably sell before EVGA's hybrids at this rate since they're selling them starting next week and EVGA won't even get their kits to sell until Monday...
