So how much does a 1080 iCX FTW owner pay to step up to the 1080ti FE? 
 
 

You stepped up to the to the iCX? If so you are not eligible to step up to the 1080 Ti or any other card for that matter.

He is eligible, anyone that paid $99 to upgrade to the ICX gets a new 90 step up, I did and I'm in queue for the 1080ti FE

That was answered about five ish posts ago... $679.00 is the price EVGA is providing those that went through the ICX Upgrade.

I put in $649.99 cuz that was the price of the 1080 SC2 when it was first released

Shipped off my Hybrid today. Sad to see it go. I imagine I'll have my 1080 Ti in about two weeks.

You have to pay for the step up in step 3 (email explains that process), and then you ship it at step 5 of 5, when they send you the rma number.

EVGA's version...

1. Received RMA request/Upload Invoice if necesaary
2. EVGA reviews the request/invoice and you go into the Queue
3. EVGA let's you know they have reviewed and approved your request. Payment of the Step Up is now required within 7 days.
4. EVGA let's you know they have recived your payment and to be on th elookout for the RMA document in the next 24-48 hours.
5. EVGA provides your final approval and RMA number. You now have 14 days for EVGA to receive your trade in GPU.

EVGA uses UPS and they use what is called 200lb Burt Strength shipping boxes.
 
Regardless of who you chose to use. I highly recommend that you find a true shipping box similar to the ones EVGA uses and protect your card that you are shipping with a good amount of impact protection. It is recommended that you use the original retail box your GPU came in as well. 

Okay thank you, I do have the orginal box and everything it came with even the covers for the tabs and monitor hook-ups. Any idea how close the prices are for 3 day with ups vs usps?

Did anyone who already shipped their GPU have the anti static bag to put it in? I unfortunately got rid of the anti static bag without even thinking about it, kept everything else though (retail box, covers, manuals, etc.).  Trying to think where I could pick up an anti static bag without buying one from amazon since all the pc stores (comp usa, tiger direct, etc.) closed their brick and mortar stores long ago and I doubt Best Buy has them.

I just sent mine off USPS fully insured and it will be there Monday for 21$ each. I checked fedex and UPS and it would have been crazy $ with them.

I sent mine from USPS costed me 27$ with insurance, should be there Monday. I was seriously considering on not getting insurance as I dont have an invoice to make a claim anyway if something goes wrong, but it was only 10$ for insurance so I was ok.

I didnt even have a box. I emailed EVGA and they told me to use lots of newspaper to wrap the card and thats what I did.
