Will there only be a step-up to FE, and no SC?

Once we've stepped-up to FE, and SC or FTW is available, can we step-up again?

You cannot Step up a Step up.

Right, I figured.

Some are already approved to send their cards back.. this has been crazy fast. Inwonder how long nvidia had been building up stock!? This has been a fantastic release honestly.

Agreed and I'm still in shock. But I'm a rookie too. Top tier card right out of the gate from my 1080 sc2 icx that is less then 21 days old. Someone will get a less then used and never overclocked card.

Gotta be an option to step up to a 1080 Ti ACX as soon as it is released. I HATE Nvidia's stock cooler. Crap load temps when overclocking and that ugly GREEN LED....

Re: 1080 TI FE Step Up Thread 2017/03/10 23:50:00 (permalink)
I have been approved and paid for my step up to the FE 1080 Ti, but I now feel like I should have waited to see if anything else would be offered to step up to.

I have the 1080 SC2 and am very pleased with the way it works in my matx case as far as air flow and noise. I have 75 days left to step up and am wondering if I can cancel this step up that I already paid for and wait awhile to see if maybe something like the 1080 Ti SC series will be available for the step up?

Thanks for you help in advance

I bought my 1080 SC2 ICX from Newegg it was not a step up card.

I thought that I might be able to at least step up to the 1080 Ti SC if it gets included?

I can beat that as my FTW is only 10 days out of the box and was test-running for less than 3 minutes.

I just built this system and really like the way everything works , the only reason I jumped on the step up train was my monitor is the Acer XR382CQK resolution is 3840x1600 and I'm sure the 1080 Ti can do ultra better than my card.

I can beat that. Seriously!

Got the ICX on Wednesday March 1st. Opened the box. Looked at the GPU. Never installed it. Sitting by the front door to ship back to EVGA...
