You weren't taken form the queue, your invoice is being verified, and once it is you'll proceed to step three

the queue is done, you're through it. This means you will get a card, and very soon.

Re: 1080 TI FE Step Up Thread 2017/03/10 12:12:41 (permalink)
I successfully submitted Step-Up for 2 cards (a pair of EVGA GTX 1080 FTW cards).  One of them took longer to input the request because the website was getting hammered so hard.  Now the 1st one I've received my Step 2 of 5 email, but the other one I haven't yet.  I'm hoping both requests get out of the queue today, or I may end up having to wait a while on the 2nd card.

Yeah I said I'll wait whole night if I have to. Was sitting and reloading page and finally Ti is on EVGA EU website. :thumbs up:

Submitted... Waiting begins...............

First this one and then another combo (Ti+Power Link) when I'll confirm clearance with the first card equipped with waterblock.

I hope EVGA pay well for overtime because they will get plenty of request and Ti-bandwagon is already in Hyper-Overdrive Mode. :D

That's what I figured.  I got mine in at 26 minutes after so I should be pretty high up on the list, relatively at least.  Getting the approval email makes me think I will be asked for payment information very soon.  I may actually get in on the first wave of shipments.  Now I just have to make sure I can find all the stuff to put my air cooler back on.  I know I kept it all in the original box.  Just hope nothing has fallen out or anything.  I shouldn't have any issues with this should I?  Having a water block on it and putting the air cooler back on and ship back?  I read that they honored cards that people water cool but I just wanted to be 100% sure on this.  I only ask because there is that one screw that has a sticker over it saying something about warranty.  I will be good with just taking the block off and putting the stock cooler back on, correct?

What that user is saying... As long as you are still in the 90 step up window (From date of purchase), and you are not trying to step up a step up, then yes. You can step up.

Fak me forgot about that :(, this is all hypothetically speaking, what if I return my GPU to the store saying something is wrong, and then buy the 980ti, then step up...? x) Also what's the upgrade cost from nvidia, I thought us 980ti users got dibs or smth.

Well that would be dishonest.

but if you did do this, you'd have cash in hand and then could *buy* The 1080 Ti. No step up needed.

That is a good thing! It means they will be updating your payment requirements. Be on the lookout for that email

Your last comment. Spot on! It has been at least five years since the last time I personally felt so compelled to get a new GPU on the official release, day one. Thank you very much. Until last year I was running (by now) ancient 580 as my main VGA and it was plenty for everything, but now with 165Hz monitor I have to get the best. 970 is OK, but because X99 is probably my last PC upgrade, with new rig only the best - no compromises, even with SLI if possible, something I've always ignored. Especially with Andromeda due in 2 weeks... sadly for now will have to stick with old X99 work-PC (yeah talk about understatement ;) ). Damn I'm old chap and I'm excited like some 15 yo (shame to admit, but that was very, very long time ago ha, ha!)

Yes I can

Sadly mate from EVGA FAQ:

Can I Step-Up a product more than once?

No - A product received from Step-Up cannot be used in the Step-Up program.
