I worked late last night but made it home in time to get the Ti installed and check out a few games.

I'm impressed.  I was at 4k Ultra in Witcher 3 and it was a solid 55-60 fps.  Same for GTA 5 and RE7.   A solid 15 fps improvement over the 1080 in 4k.

VR on the Rift was just as gorgeous as it was on the 1080.  I ran a 3DMark last night and got 21k with the Ti stock... gonna fool around with OC settings this weekend.

Shipped my 1080 out yesterday, splurged and went with 2nd day air ($110, ouch). I have the next day air on the Ti so I thought, what's the point of that if it still takes a week to get there? I'm selling my second 1080 when I get the Ti in so that will offset the cost. Now, it's getting there Saturday so I'm not expecting the Ti to ship till Monday at the earliest.

My step-up for my first card arrived about an hour ago.  Now to go through the whole process with the second 1080 Classified.  I may try the Post Office this time.  See if it gets there quicker than UPS.

The packaging from EVGA, while not too bad, is not what I would have used to pack a $700 dollar item and entrust to the gentle care of delivery people who are so rushed that the truck hasn't even stopped rolling and they are already out the door and on the way to the house.

Anyway..., at least it's here.  A new toy to play with!

They probably won't even get it until Monday, unless you pay extra (Even with second day air) for weekend delivery and even then I doubt EVGA works over weekends. They'll probably get it Monday and ship it out Tuesday. It doesn't seem to be a long turn around.

I get mine today, but I really want that water kit to get released...

No kidding about the packaging!  After all the care I took to pack mine in sturdy foam I got my Ti yesterday and the box is inside a bigger box with a wraparound bubble plastic.  Could have been better...

... not worried about it now.  I got it installed and after a 60 hour workweek I have Sat/Sun off to play with the computer.  :)

Seems pretty standard? My friends got their boxes is standard packaging box without even bubble wrap, just the spacer balloons. I've been getting like that for a while now from other companies like MSI and Gigabyte, never really had an issue, so I don't think it's a big problem.

I only sent it out crazy wrapped because I couldn't prove it wasn't already that way when I sent it... but sent brand new to me? Too easy if the worst actually does happen.

I just picked up a new monitor (Acer Predator XB271HU) so this is going to be amazing as its my first real gaming monitor and I've never experienced G-Sync.

My last monitor was an Asus VG236H that came out right when Nvidia released their first 3d vision kit so it's pretty old. The monitor actually came with a 3d vision starter kit.

Anyways I'm impressed with the step up process. It went really smooth, very fast, and customer service was really good to me.

For shipping back to EVGA, do they have to receive the card within 14 days or does it need to be shipped within 14 days?

I just thought it was ironic that I was told to package my GPU on all 4 sides... which is what I did.  Then mine shows up from EVGA with the spacer balloons you mentioned wrapped around... but nothing on the top or bottom.

It wasn't anything that upset me or anything... the card works great.

I think im the only one that thought that packaging was rather good.  Having the foam cushion around the box seemed like a great idea to me.  Especially considering how tight the video card was inside the box anyway.  I've definitely received worse shipping before from other companies.

What company does EVGA use to ship the iCX/1080Ti back to us? Do they use FedEx? UPS? Purolator? Cause some companies do Saturday shipping and some don't :/ Oh, do you think the company would change after crossing the border into Canada?
I mean like they won't pack you card up and drop it off on Saturday. They use ups

Aw UPS is the worst outta those companies :/ they're the only ones who charge for Saturday shipping. But anyways, demon, it's possible that I could get it Saturday. May not be likely but a man can dream right? Sent out Friday, 1 day to ship = Saturday :D Just drive a helicopter instead of a Mai, truck and then BOOM. GPU. XD
funny enough ups by me is way better than FedEx -.- they just delivered another package to a house with the same number that is 4 streets away. It's a good thing I know the people who live there as it happens way to often when Amazon chooses FedEx :X I have even called FedEx about it and they have no idea :/

Paid and going to send out my 1080 card this Tuesday before going on a small vacation for 5 days. Won't have to be without a GPU for too long then.

This is my first founders edition card and I hope it isn't too loud. Was going to water cool it with EVGA's AIO but it seems like they raised the price and its still going to sell out instantly.

Either way i'm excited as its still an upgrade over my 1080 and would help since i game at 1440p 165hz.

I've never done the "Step-up" before but decided it was worth it so I sent in my GTX 1080 FTW for the 1080 ti.  According to Fed-Ex it was received yesterday at EVGA Brea, California at 11:30 or so in the morning.
It's 9:00pm the next day and I still haven't heard anything from them.  I've inquired, but nobody can confirm it has arrived.  The only answer is "don't worry about it".  The card cost me $1000 when I purchased it here in Canada and now with all the shipping plus Step-up difference I'm in for another $250.

My question is - how long does it take for EVGA to verify/confirm they received your card before they ship out the new "Step-up" replacement.  Any help will ease my concerns.

Thanks everyone.

It varies, you can look back through the thread and see everyone's posted time periods. For me they marked it received the same day it got to them. They then sent it out the next day so it was a 24 turnaround. Some people have had to wait 3 days though so it varies on who knows what.

What is the best way to contact EVGA about step up? I'm kind of bummed that the 1080 Ti didn't ship today. It looks like for most people it either goes out the day received or the day after. They received mine yesterday.

Did they tell you they received your card or is it just the courier who says it's been delivered?

Thanks everyone.

They got it.  It took almost four days from the time mine was delivered, (according to UPS), until it showed up as received on the EVGA website.  The new card shipped within three days after that.  I used the cheapest UPS ground shipping, with insurance, but it arrived here this morning.

My first impression upon removing the EVGA GTX 1080 Classified and setting it on the desk next to the new 1080ti, was the how much smaller the new card was compared to the Classified.  I bought a couple of the PowerLinks for the new cards because the Classifieds took a bit of stretching the power cables from my PSU to reach the two 8-pin plugs on the top of the Classified cards.  The 1080ti was shorter and I really didn't need the PowerLink to make the power cords fit, but since I had them, I put one on the first 1080ti and installed it.  It does look neater.

Now I can hardly wait to get my second Classified packed up and sent back so I can get the second 1080ti!

The bump in performance was quite noticable between the cards.  I've been running a single 1080 Classified while waiting for the first one to be exchanged.  The last score on Time Spy that I got with the Classified was 7752.  With the 1080ti at the same settings it jumped up to 9179.  In Fire Strike Ultra it jumped from 5731 up to 6984.

My only small regret was that the 1080 Classified looked so much more impressive than the FE 1080ti.  However, it's not noticeable with the case side on, even with the glass window.  The performance is definitely within the 30-35% increase promised.  And it was the same price as I paid for the Classifieds.  The step-up only cost me the shipping cost.  I only had a few days left on my step-up period or I might have waited a while to see if an ACX or ICX model was offered on the step-up list.

Did they tell you they received your card or is it just the courier who says it's been delivered?

EVGA says received.

Although EVGAs site say's 'pending' on shipping and tracking, just got an email with both tracking numbers for the cards!  3-day shipping will be here on Wednesday.  Cards showed up on Thursday and was shipped out 1-day later! Great job EVGA!!! :)
