Just shipped mine out. Will be there tomorrow.
How long do they take to update the receipt of the card and then ship out the Step Up card?

They usually ship the day after they receive it, so you will probably receive your 1080 ti on Fri

That sounds awesome!
Man this is my second EVGA GPU, and i think it was the best decision i made after selling my Strix 1080.

It sucked for me cuz they received my card on Fri, they don't work on the weekend so they shipped it on Mon, but at least it's out for delivery :)

Reading about US customers that get through the step-up within a week where Europe is being left without information. Cmon EVGA, what is this for a kind of communication.

During the ICX upgrade promotion we got no confirmation e-mail the only way to find out if you're even in queue it is to log in on the website and google the ICX upgrade page only to find out you're pending. Now for the step-up, atleast give us a message "Us customers have priority over Europe" or whatever. By the time we are in line for approval they have most likely already released the refference models. /Sadface

I don't intend to slag off EVGA as the promotion itself is brilliant and I do think extended warranty options are great too, but I do want to share that we are guessing half off the time not knowing what we are up against.

Either way, for those who got their 1080Ti's already, congratulations and enjoy! ^_^

It takes time for the cards to get from California (EVGA headquarters and packing location) to EU. They have probably held back from giving inaccurate dates and times, just in case there is a push back on the date. Hopefully you all will be getting more information soon.

I've actually given some thought to adding the water cooler seen here...  it's claimed to be a 30 degree difference.

I would not be so sure, in some cases that is the norm, but usually if any company ships to US only then they usually make some US residents wait a bit so that European theater step-up owner can get their Gpu's first and then make a subtle rotation change. Don't worry the EU will Not be left in the cold.

Some Step-up people that stepped-up on March 10, have not gotten' past Step 2 on their step-up yet.

Yeah, he did a very good job on his cooler and can't wait to see what our new Ti drivers do to enable a better array of technical options on enabling more features on the 1080Ti and how much more of a difference we can see with new games as well. :)

I, along with a lot of other people have asked this question over the years, and i believe Evga told me that UPS was their way of shipping as opposed to USPS and FED-Ex and DHL, etc. I think i might have have gotten an answer from Evga about shipping from other agencies and they said that i would have had to tell them before shipping had been processed i would have had to tell them about using another carrier.

The only other carriers would have been FedEx and DHL. Won't use USPS because people Must sign the that they got their Evga product and USPS doesn't or at least didn't do that back then. i could be wrong, i don't fully remember.

Anyone know how slow the standard $12 UPS shipping is from them?  The ~3 day shipping or the really slow week+ ground stuff?

Not sure... but I'll let you know soon.  I paid $10.94 ground and it's only going from CA to WA.

I paid $35.95 to send it to them via ground...  like $21 was shipping with the rest being the $700 insurance.  Not sure why EVGA's cost was so low to send it to me but they may have a deal or something with UPS.

Either way it's 3 days to CA from WA and I would expect the same on return.

Pretty good link to get a ballpark figure... as said I don't expect any more than 3 days transit time from CA to WA... that's how long it's taking to get there.  I'll post back once I get a tracking # and transit time.

But yeah, I'd say it's standard ground shipping and not the 3 day select so it could take up to 5 days if you are on the east coast.

Anyone know how slow the standard $12 UPS shipping is from them?  The ~3 day shipping or the really slow week+ ground stuff?

I should Tell people why Evga uses fast UPS ground service, as was told to me from an Official in La Brea,  California here. Evga-Tech said that the reason for them doing the high-cost to Ground shipping is because it is more rare for anyone to want to wait longer by using a cheaper method of shipping by UPS. EVGA is always getting phone calls from Customer from either it be Step-up's or from people ordering their Gpu's online. It doesn't matter where on this Earth they are, they just want Now heheh.

So that is the biggest reason why they try to get the most expensive/Fastest UPS delivery service available, because face it, none of us are usually patient lol. By the way, this is what Evga told me years ago to.

I saw reports of people saying $60 and $70 overnight?

No thanks.. I'll pay the $10 and wait 2 extra days.  If I was on the east coast I'd probably be less patient.

If you think that's crazy, and some do and some don't, but for those that have done Sli or have gotten' separate Gpu's as much as 1 day later then shipping would by multiplied 2x $120.00, $140.00- 200.00, etc, and those people are hard-core Gpu enthusiasts. Usually people that by Gpu's like this Ti models and SC's and FTW's want their cards within' 24 hours if they could, and that's why Evga's shipping default is always the faster shipping method. Of course they don't have special Air to Ground and that could be because of insurance reasons where some Air carriers that I personaly know of including Evga can be a gamble, as some people get other people's most expensive freight crushed.

It can be a very big Catch 22. Did you try calling Evga. Sometimes people can change their shipping before it ships if they Call Evga.

Oh, I literally just called them and they said if I make the payment now that I can call them before I send mine out and they'll change the shipping for me to overnight. Earlier when I said ground, I forgot to say regular shipping which was longer than I wanted to wait. But yeah, they were real cool with telling me how easy it is to just call in and pay the difference before they send it out
