Here's the link I used. Went home early so I could post it without any errors: http://www.evga.com/12/penguinluck.jpg It's only 404ing now for me though... So maybe Shane took that down since then?

Little Sister has been posting in my Three Word Game thread as well. No idea if it is related. This is (I think) her first post http://forums.evga.com/fb.ashx?m=1052170 Her posts in order: With her tongue Money to pay the zombie invasion during the summer to be spliced EVGA forum members no place left lazy cats soda but then the with sour cream by the zombie the suns out a hole in the great blast the world ended with a bang --this was a double post if it means anything --

What about with wires? You can make a penguin fly with wires, at least in a SFX studio. Or CGI.

Idk. I still like the underwater idea. They do fly underwater, but you can't help them do it.... unless you hold them under :p

I think all the information we need is contained in trust_me's posts and the pain.asp page. We just have to figure out how to decipher the info to come up with the next page or image or whatever to get the next clue. I believe what trust_me is getting at in his last post is that he is telling us "concrete" clues just by telling us what we are doing wrong and trying to help us focus in the right place. I don't think we necessarily need what is in the PMs to solve this, but they are hints on where we are going wrong.

While I do like that approach, they way that I took Trust_Me's last post was that when Sleepee said "We should've been able to solve this clue only with the information provided on http://evga.com/12/pain.asp." Shane was considering that a bold statement. TBH he could be calling anything in that statement bold. Darn him

I am not in on anything, but has anyone looked through the different pages of EVGA for hidden penguins? I skipped about 4 pages of the thread, so I might have missed that.

Look at what trust_me put in bold and underlined of Sleepee's post. It was his statement about trust_me's PMs not providing concrete clues. Telling us we are on the wrong track is a pretty concrete clue, but is not necessarily required to solve the puzzle. Remember, think simple. The key is always to use the given information to decipher something that when found will obviously be the right answer.

I don't think anyone has. Can't say I've noticed any in my travels around the site the last few days either. And I've been to a lot of the regular pages to check source code as well as getting the 404 errors galore.

rjbelans Look at what trust_me put in bold and underlined of Sleepee's post. Unless I am mistaken that was Sleepee who underlined and bolded that part of the post.

Probably a dumb idea. I remember last year we had the scavenger hunt looking for the gold stars. I was thinking maybe this one will be to find penguins. Or maybe even just one page with a penguin on it, then check that pages source code???

But the Scavenger Hunt started after the GAME was over. I would imagine there will be something again this year for the anniversary, but this is a bonus for regulars that want to spend their time trying to solve the puzzle.

Seems to be a painful bonus. Not onlyfor Trust_me, but the seekers too.

Remember this was posted in the folding contest. "No more games" could mean we need to fold instead of playing games. "Help the penguin fly" has me stumped though. Does penguin = linux, a fellow folder, or something else? I think that's where we're struggling to connect the dots.

I've been wondering if "help the penguin fly" are the words we should be ignoring on the pain page, a long shot. I did try counting word positions to "help" "the" "penguin" "fly" to see if they mapped to ascii char codes (to no avail), to spell a 4 letter word.

The "remove three years" got me thinking about using every third letter in some manner.

I was also pondering about this. I did noticed the "removed three" and also noticed "multi-cell" and "once enjoyable" in the phrase. Thinking the multi-cell might mean the first and third letter of the words. Help The Penguin Fly.

I noticed trust_me's avatar changed to what looks like something from the band Tool. That "Help the penguin fly" game linked to before was by a user named The_Tool. Maybe I'm off my rocker, but maybe there is a hint in that thread? EDIT: tried evga.com/12/pingwin, pingwin1, tool, the_tool, ESALADUANE, helicopter, and parsec with .asp, .png, .jpg, .gif, .tif, .bmp, .aspx to no avail.

The image is from a movie called Pan's Labyrinth, and the character is the Pale Man.

Would him saying how this word game has removed three years from his life and how he supposes it has helped sparing him from enjoying the golden years of his life with his favorite dog mean anything? This sentence to me just doesnt sound right like it is missing something or am i just overthinking this. "I suppose you help sparing me enjoying the golden years with my favorite dog" I am not very good at these things so my idea may be going in the wrong direction.

I think you probably are overthinking it a bit. There could be something in there as a clue, but the sentence makes better sense by just adding a comma. "I suppose you help , sparing me enjoying the golden years with my favorite dog."
