I fully expect the next thing that'll happen with some random person in this thread is they'll take their ricer and drift it into a telephone pole. It's cheaper just to watch the movies.

1,600 kg (3,500 lb) max...You're not stopping that from 40 to 0 in 3 car lengths.
 
I'd like some standard testing with appropriate testing equipment.
 
I can't find any measurements (without digging that I really shouldn't do at work) from a reputable place..
 
Edit: Apparently the Subaru Legacy is about 15' 6" long..so 3 car lengths is 46.5 feet...highly doubt it considering reaction times + weight of car.

Also! I proved it today.. when two cars where at a red light and I stopped a car and 1/2 @ 45. No tire Lock btw.. So I didn't skid.. AND! Didn't leave any mess on the nice white salted roads.  Need to get a dashcam just to prove my point.

Can you get someone to take a video of you stopping as you pass a line of parked cars?  That would be the best way to end this.
 
Now to the math.   In rough terms, a good car can brake at about 1G under ideal conditions, Formula 1 cars around 4G.  Deceleration = (velocity squared) / (brakingdistance * 2). 1G = 32.2 ft/s^2.  2005 Legacy GT overall length 186" = 15.5'
 
Case 1: 2005 Legacy GT stock stopping distance 60mph-0 ~130ft
  decel = (88^2) / 260 = 29.8 ft/s^2 = 0.92G
 
Case 2: 40mph-0 in 3 car lengths
  decel = (58.6^2) / 93 = 37 ft/s^2 = 1.15G
  plausible, particularly if you round up a car length to 20', giving 0.89G
 
Case 3: 45mph-0 in 1.5 car lengths
  decel = (66^2) / 46.5 = 93.67 ft/s^2 = 2.9G
  
 
Case 4: 2011 Corvette Z06 Carbon Edition: 60mph-0 in 93 feet
  decel = (88^2) / 186 = 41.63 ft/s^2 = 1.29G

Honestly, with your reckless behavior and attitude, I would not want to line up against you for the sure fact you may just run me off the road or better yet, when I beat you, keep driving away at 120mph.

Than race me, so I can finally shut you and your korean car up.
