Calling the insurance in a couple of hours... This will determine whether I begin spending my own "Hard earned" money on the parts in a couple of hours or not.

I thought about getting a Mustang, but after 96" of snow around my house, I don't think a rear wheel drive will work quite as well

Yeah bro! I see a lot of mustangs are garage queens, Just get something you're able to enjoy year round!

With 96" of snow most cars are garage queens. Only thing that is not is a dully with a snow plow. LOL.

 
Ah, that's total for the season...it's about 4 feet on the ground right now...roads are plowed, but still some ice ..
 
rear wheel drive is problematic in ice/snow imo..

Yeah, I actually only need like 3 parts, It's less than 2k. So lawyer and all that isn't worth it for me tbh.. My dad offered to purchase the parts already anyways, So meh... =/

I figured it would be north of 4k due to some of the parts you listed.

My uncle said I need to give him the bumper cover so he can paint it, Then if I go help him, we can finish within 1 day
 
Just ordered some of the parts now,
 
$765 for the front bumper cover and radiator grille support.
 
Then another $300 for an aftermarket upper/lower grille, Because who needs stock grilles? Yuck!

Walk* which is all you will be lucky to do at the rate you're going. Until you have time slips from a track you're just a kid keyboard racer with no credit to back your claim. Basically you're just "talk"(ing) spit*.

I know for a fact, He didn't want to race my V6 when I told him to put money on it (Yeah, He would have walked my V6 though lol). I'll be taking it to the track as soon as the repairs are made.
 
All comes down to the driver mod right now.

I'm getting the A/C Condenser in black, or if it's not out in black yet I'm going to get it painted =P

BTW this whole comment is just silly. Noone will make a condenser for a 2015 in anything but the stock style and color if at all in the aftermarket. Your uncle will have to paint it while he fixes the rest of your car since you can't drive.

I believe with driver mod it's 8.1 seconds, But that ain't me yet, Still getting used to launching from a dig (Haven't practiced for obvious reasons).
 
As soon as I get settled down, The modding will begin.
 
I know what my car is capable of, I know it's slow compared to your massively modified STI.

I'll believe it when I see it. Until you have a time slip in your hand with YOUR car with YOU behind the wheel you're slower then a broke down vw.

Also! I proved it today.. when two cars where at a red light and I stopped a car and 1/2 @ 45. No tire Lock btw.. So I didn't skid.. AND! Didn't leave any mess on the nice white salted roads.  Need to get a dashcam just to prove my point.

if you live in NY.. I'll show you Stopping power. I've done it on more than one occasion... and now I generally do it for fun if no-ones behind me.

Side note, No my chest does NOT hurt. No I have not gone through the windshield and my passenger hasn't either.

Kinda off-topic but, eh. Rush has made me a much more defensive/smart driver, since I can see first hand what happens when you don't think and drive (no offense buddy). So I guess all his suffering isn't in vain.

You don't have to worry, Buddy! I'm sure your brakes will stop perfectly even if your 125 RWHP car is going WOT.

Irwindale dragstrip (1/8 track) on the first Thursday after my car is repaired, I'll post slips whether I run 8.2 or 9.5

Also, while I love racing and everything street racing and drag racing isn't really a true test of Driver skill... It'd be a better test of driver skill if both drivers had the same setups... It's all about who has more into their car... Once you get the shifting down (if in standard transmission vehicle) it's easy no clutch even needed after launch.... Anyways, Rush is their permanent frame damage?

The reason it looks so messed up is due to the radiator grille support bending at the arms, Which caused the whole front end to slide back by around 3-4" on the left side and less than an inch on the right side (Driver door scrapes fender, But not bad).
 
Hopefully I can pick up the parts tomorrow afternoon and begin the repairs next week.

Listen, nobody is arguing that your car eventually comes to a stop.....it just does not stop in 30 feet at 45Mph.  Your car with "4 wheel disc brakes" does not defy the laws of physics.  At that speed you are travelling at 66 feet per SECOND.  Assuming you have heavily modded you braking system, tires, and suspension to that of the level of say a Porsche GT3 you are still going to be stopping well beyond 50 feet at 45Mph.....which is actually quite good.

I fully expect the next thing that'll happen with some random person in this thread is they'll take their ricer and drift it into a telephone pole. It's cheaper just to watch the movies.
