As someone who will be building a new system (separate from what's in the signature now), I'd dearly hope for a 6GB variant of the 780 TI, perhaps even buying two = ) But that will depend on the budget of course! Please release a 6GB version, Evga!! I've been a loyal client, having bought your products for the last 3 GPUs I've owned... don't let us down = )

Gold Leader Well I don't see the GTX 780 Ti as a Titan Ultra, since it's Double Precision Rendering performance comes no where near to that of the GTX Titan, GTX 780 Ti does 233 Gigaflops per sec, GTX Titan does 1.5 Teraflops Per sec, so no it's just a GTX 780 Ti and nothing else. If it would be a Titan Ultra it would of had 6GB of VRAM and a Double Precision performance of at least 2 Teraflops per second Which is greatly lacks You can't compare a First Class VGA card with a Royal Class VGA card, which the GTX Titan is. The GTX Titan is therefore a class of it's own
+1 BIG TIME TO THIS.
Many thanks bud, I even think that the Titan should be a class name for it's own since it combines best of GeForce combined of the best Quadro K6000 in a single package. Which makes it a "Unique Hybrid" class card. So the five NVIDIA GPGPU classes should be more like this: NVIDIA Tegra Low/Mid/High-End Tablet/Mobile APU NVIDIA GeForce Low/Mid/High-End Desktop GPGPU's NVIDIA Titan Royal Class Desktop & Entry Level Professional GPGPU's NVIDIA Quadro Low/Mid/High-End Professional GPGPU's NVIDIA Tesla Royal Class Professional GPGPU's

Which features does the Titan get from the Quadro K6000? Gold Leader Battlefield 4 only uses just over 3400MB in Ultra settings @ 5670 x 1200, even @ 7680 x 1600 the VRAM usage won't exceed the 4200MB Gold Leader, What monitor setup are you using? Do you have surround 1600p monitors and monitored the vram usage? Which GPU's did you use to test such vram usage? Gold LeaderThe VRAM the Titan uses isn't like the common GDDR5 VRAM that a normal GeForce has, it is in fact ECC based, with this it is constantly checking for error codes, which helps it have much longer and more stable runt times in any type of workload You are saying, the Titan has ECC Memory? Thank you, Monnie

Just adding my 2 cents. I have SLI Titans and 1600p Surround, if you are going this route the Titan makes sense. For the sole reason you need the memory. I do not need the other features of the Titan. I soley purchased the Titans due to it's ability to be able game at 8050 x 1600 / 7680 x 1600 this is a higher resolution than 4k. Wish list: - Ability for Nvidia to do surround with 5 monitors Imagine 5 30" 1600p in portrait. - Titan Ti but wait it is already there and free:
- Price that makes sense.... I had the 690 before my Titan, I sold it and went back to the 460 and I am happy I waited. For those saying that if you have money to blow on 1600p surround or 4k? I disagree. Computers and GPU's are like guys with muscle cars. It's our passion and Fad.

Heh, funny that not so long ago I was told buying my 2 x GTX-680 FTW+ 4GB cards was a pointless waste of money as I would never need that much vram anytime soon. A little over a year later and most here are saying we need 6GB if not 12GB, depending on your setup. Go figure. I'll be waiting for the 800 series next year.. rumor is that they may come out in Q1 2014. If I see a 790 (dual GPU card) come out before Christmas, then the rumor of the 800 series may well become fact. As far as surround goes.. wait until flexible screens start entering mass production.. imagine a single seamless curved surround screen equivalent to a 3 or 5 monitor setup now.. awesome. I believe that won't be too far away in the future. Dreaming of it.

Please see the following post from the official Nvidia forums (the 2nd post): Note that it's from an Nvidia moderator, who presumably has the authority to speak on their behalf and make corrections where necessary. Also note the answer to the 2nd question about a 6 GB version -- he even mentions Evga. *edit* I cannot link it because I don't have the ability to, but there is an official response on the Nvidia forums (please look under the 'Geforce Lounge' section, for a topic titled "Will GTX780Ti get a custom Colling ?" (yes, misspelling deliberately included). As you can see, the moderator says: 2 - will there be a 6gb Version? 2) Also up to the card manufacture, this is not part of our reference design but companies like EVGA typically offer this.
I have to wonder what exactly you are talking about, saying what you did...

Ahhh, sorry it was further back in this very thread, my apologies! And... that's really disappointing, just to reiterate what others have said. If that's the case then I guess we can hope other card manufacturers will release a version... or wait for newer GPU parts in 2014 Q1?? Ugh.

Kind of like getting a vehicle that has 600HP and the transmission is only rated for 300HP. Fail If nVidia is putting restrictions on EVGA preventing a 6GB/12GB Classified version, nVidia has cut off their own foot. Thank you, Monnie

I would love GTX780Ti Classified with 6GB... Enough is 100MHz GPU Clock OC over fabric and 200-250MHz Memory and I everything fine... but 3GB is more problem for us who use with single card. You don't need more than 6/12GB...And you want Quad SLI. You probably need for something special if you want more than 12GB Video Memory.

That's not how SLI works. In SLI, vram is mirrored not combined. If each card has 3gb vram, then you effectively have 3gb of vram, not 12gb (4x 3gb).

That Sensor Graph from GPU-Z shows how the NVIDIA Titan [as it should actually be called, as being not a GeForce or Quadro, but a card type of it's own], truly earns it's place and here is where the GTX 780 Ti shall suffer the so called "Dreadful VRAM Limitation Wall" In out words the GPGPU has moments that it has no access to more VRAM, thus stutters shall occur or game freezes, something I'd always prefer to evade from getting Just 18 more days and Days of TyrannoTitan shall begin! @ Monnie? Please read this first thanks http://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2030876 Almost everyone here @ EVGA knows I collect High-End VGA cards, mainly Engineering Samples , Promotion Boards or unique production boards such as the GTX Titan, GTX 295 Red Editions, Quantum3D Obsidian2 X24 you name it. For me it's never about need, need is just an excuse, especially when collecting VGA cards of various major brands like 3dfx Interactive, NVIDIA Cooperation, Matrox Graphics, Sight,Speed,Sound aka S3 & Array Technology Industry/Advanced Micro Devices aka ATi /AMD the monitors I use are 2x HP ZR24w HS-IPS Panels, they do 1920 x 1200 x32 each, Do plan on using both on my Titan, bt since I am moving away from games and look forward to do more with CUDA and Double precision rendering, to which a Titan does 6.7 times faster than a 780 Ti I have all the reasons to go for a Titan than some conventional High end gaming card. I am getting a bit too old for games, as being almost 37 YOA, thus I seek greater interests. a Titan has the best features of a GeForce but also from that of a Quadro K6000, as it's GPGPU is the same as that from a Quadro K6000, but tuned to a point that it also performs with great excellence in games but also CUDA & OpenCL apps that can take advantage of it's 1.5Teraflops per sec Double Precision rendering. Anyways I know what I need as VGA card collector and enthusiast, also as ex-3dfx beta tester from my past, I find that there no need for you to question me on such aspects what I need, as the word need is irrelevant to my purposes But I can understand why many people would choose Titan especially when going for a multi display setup, just to avoid that "Dreadful VRAM Limitation Wall" So coming back to the Titan, I plan to use two before they do go EOL, mainly because they are unique and I don't think we will see something Like Titan in the furture for quite sometime. The Titan has been engineered to last a long life over normal GeForce cards

NVIDIA currently has The fastest single GPU and the GPU with the largest amount of VRAM they just happen to be on 2 different solutions at this time.

Vram limit fear is running rampant lol. So far none of the review sites testing at 4k have shown freezing, stuttering, etc. because of lack of vram on the 780ti. In fact, they all show the gpu's inability to push the resolution far before any vram limit is hit, on the Titan, 780ti, and 290x.

giltyler I would have been surprised at any other outcome to this question. If you need 6 Gig the Titan awaits since that is the NVIDIA Top Shelf Card for now.
I disagree because: 1)780Ti is the top shelf gaming card. With higher performance in games than Titan, 192 extra cores, 1Ghz faster memory, Quad SLI Enabled (Unlike the vanilla 780), Ability to have non-reference boards (Classified), nerfed compute features. What most gamers are looking for with 6GB/12GB of vram. 2)Quadro K6000 is top shelf workstation card. 2880 cores, 12GB vram, full compute and professional features. 3)Tesla/Atlas is the top shelf compute card. 4) Titan is the red headed step child. Beaten in games by the 780Ti, Beaten in workstation by Quadro K6000, beaten in compute by Tesla/Atlas. Lacks cores compared to: 780Ti, Quadro K6000, Tesla/Atlas Lacks vram capacity to: Quadro K6000, Tesla/Atlas Lacks vram speed to: 780Ti Lacks full set professional features to: Quadro K6000, Tesla/Atlas Lacks non-reference boards(Classified) with better voltage delievery to: 780Ti Titan is a hodgepodge of gaming / entry level consumer compute card. Master of none. Only thing the Titan is not lacking is the premium price and forceful position by nVidia in the hierarchy of these cards. The Titan had it's time until nVidia introduced the 780Ti to compete with AMD and Jen-Hsun Huang called the 780Ti "best GPU that's ever been built." at the product announcement. As well as on nVidia's 780Ti page "GeForce® GTX 780 Ti is the best gaming GPU on the planet." Thank you, Monnie
