as the title says. seeing the numbers the new cards are producing.   i have been in deep thought lately. i recently flash my og titans to skyn3t bios. and cant believe i waited this long to do so. after running with one for awhile i finally flashed the second card and added it to my setup. the reason for the deep thought is. my god the performance gain from having 2 flashed cards. sadly they are a bit outdated and the new cards are looking promising. however the hardware limits i am seeing makes me want to back away from them.  just want to see some honest to god opinions from some fellow titan owners

I would recommend sticking to the Titans for now. If their is a spectacular deal on 980TI's or GTX 1080's, I would go with either in SLI. NOTE: The 1080 only supports 3 or 4 way SLI as benchmarking. That means no 3 way of 4 way 1080 gaming for you.

yes I feel the same I have 4 titan blacks in 4/way sli and they are faster than 2 1080 in sli are and I can game them in 4/way the 1080 cant . so even if the 1080's can out bench me in 4/way they can out do us in a game. lol and that is where the cards live almost 24/7. I did not even see enuff jump in the x's to up my cards so I just keep my money till nvida up the 1080's to titans and unlock 4/way for full use like I have now lol and as for dx12 it is a big help for my blacks I have tested it. games that are using it already it stacks your vram. so in my buil;d that gives me 24g lol and over 140fps at 7680by1440 all max setting but aa off don't need it at that speed. so I say titanblacks still rule and we can keep are money . I have 2 regs in mod regs and they both game 24/7 at there benchmark setting. http://www.3dmark.com/fs/8259116    http://www.3dmark.com/fs/2769692  .

If you are looking to upgrade, I wouldn't get the 1080's... Your Titans are still monster cards in SLI. There's talks of a new Titan launching on the Pascal Architecture sometime in the future. I'd say wait for that.

You can probably wait. I still run tri-sli titans.

While the electrical savings and similar performance of a 1080 piqued my interest its silly to waste money when in real gaming you wont see much difference. What resolution are you running? Like Dwoodward said, I heard there are new Pascal Titans coming soon which would be a big performance increase, but I may wait another gen.
