odd gpu memory used

I have notice this on both my 1070 it started when i started playing no man sky try other games and it still happens not sure what's up anyone know why it's doing this?
 
Here what it does i reboot my camera memory is normal as soon as i start no man sky screen flicker for a second then comes back everything fine as soon as i close no man sky and try to run it again i get this

    Buggy software? Does msi afterburner read the same in the hardware monitor graph?

    It's the game not your cards, or software. The game on ANY PC is buggy as hell. The No Man's dev's are aware of the issue and are working on a patch, "Soon"

    Yep it only happens with no man sky rebooted the pc and low and behold screen doesn't flicker when playing doom or anything else but as soon as i do no man sky it does and my ram usage shows this issue till i reboot the pc again.
