hi everyone i recently bought the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti SC Black Edition GAMING , and i've tried it on two different pc but my problem still remain : in most of my games i never experienced a completely fluid gameplay , most of the times i get major fps drop (between 20 - 50 fps ) and even microstuttering and micro freeze in some of them. tried it on : Assassins creed origins Witcher3 FFXV call of cthulhu ( wich isn't a demanding one) hellblade i've done a lot of research and tests but nothing worked... i'm kinda desperate thanks in advance !

Yes you can enable K-Boost... but, it does it solve anything. Not that I'm aware of. IMO it was added to placate those angry at GPU boost.

Using GPU-Z can you tell us what your PCIe link speed is?

Not really... that was "I using EVGA Precision XOC and it seems as though when I start certain games my gpu clock speed won't budge it stays a 139MHz." Not the same thing at all. It does not do a thing for 'FPS drops or stuttering' as we both agree that the varying clocks from GPU boost isn't the cause. I remember all the rage around GPU boost clocks and EVGA caving to demand (why can't we used a fixed clock).

What do you mean small sound? Are you hearing like a high pitched squealing noise? If so that's probably the VRMs. Your PCIe link speed looks normal. x16 @ 3.0. What resolution and settings are you playing the Witcher 3 on and what is your FPS? What are your GPU and CPU temps? Did you do something silly like disable virtual memory?

What are your GPU and CPU temps? Did you do something silly like disable virtual memory? 1080p can go to 60 to 45 fps from time to time , i didn't test the gpu and cpu temp ( don't know wich software to use to do so) and about virtual memory i let windows do the work don't know if it's okay ?

I think you should go ahead and rma the card since the problem is able to be reproduced on two systems.

Open a support ticket via your account, describe the problem well, what you tried already and ask for further instructions (whether they have anything else up their sleeve or whether they think an rma would be reasonable to issue you an rma ticket). Once they do that (they always replied to me within 24 hours) you can open an rma via your account, the ticket number should be filled in automatically. After that it took in my case like 1 day to get approval and the actual rma number along with shipping instructions. You do have to pay shipping one way yourself, I used UPS and they delivered from door to door in 2-3 days (from netherlands to germany) and it cost me 25 euro. But you can also use anything else that accepts: insurance for the value of your card and enforced signature. I chose ups because it was the cheapest, fastest, and was able to insure my package for 900euro unlike other companies in my country. Once the card arrived, new card was shipped within a day or two. I have yet to put it in the system as I just received it today but it looks pretty much new (also arrived via ups). All in all it took 1.5 week including the communication with evga before actual shipping. Now just to see whether it's better than the first one... PS. what case do you have? The card should never reach those temps at all anyway. Are you sure you aren't suffocating the pc? If your card has ICX, how are the other temps aside from gpu itself? The power or voltage components might also be overheating as they are usually hotter than the gpu itself... How is the airflow in your case? I noticed my 1080ti ftw3 needed quite high case airflow to be able to properly disperse the heat. PS2: When your temps are solved (you can also temporarily open the case side panel up to decrease the temps): there have been people noting various issues with 4xx drivers. Can you try reverting back to 391.35 OR 399.24 and see if the stuttering persists?
