since the 3080ti was postponed, i decided to throw myself back in the queue for another shot at a 3090 hybrid.   the one thing ive noticed since then is that there hasnt been a 3090 hybrid drop since dec 16th.  that leads me to 1of 2 conclusions - either evga ran out of hybrid parts and are waiting for more stock. or the more likely,  theyve come to the conclusion that this is a widespread issue and have halted sales while they work out a fix.

Doubt they stopped production of the 3090 PCBs as they’re still sending out the air cooled ones to retailers which are the same PCB as the Hybrids.

i was going to say that the air cooled invites arent going out either, but it looks like yesterday was the first one thats gone out since dec 22nd.   atleast according to the spreadsheet.

Haven't had time to test it but I did notice the PCIE slow power draw is reporting lower numbers.  On the original card it would be in the range of 80-82W, the new card tops out around 72W.

That's a good sign.
Hopefully you don't discover some other kind of defect.

I used GPUZ to check the sensors, maybe HWinfo64 would show it as well.

Bought a 2014 serial 3090, had the black screens and it eventually died in the PCI slot with LEDs going. RMA'd it and got another 2014 serial card. Got black screens playing Yakuza Kiwami 2 just now. 
 
Just picked up the hotfix driver and will try it out, but if this is anything like the last one it'll be dead in a month.

Black screen with fans at 100%. System was still running, and nothing but a hard reset to bring it back up. Only there was no display. Plugged into onboard and bam, dead in the slot. Device manager, HWinfo64, everything showing nothing. 1080Ti works though. No lights on the power connectors, but LED bar and all the accent lights are on. 
 
And i'm using an EVGA Supernova 850 G2 with 3 cables, so unless their power supply is killing their cards, they have a problem. I'm more than a bit upset at the moment.

For me it was days. I made the mistake of playing Terraria yesterday and it black screened, but I had a browser open. I figured driver crash, but there was nothing in the event logs. Apparently the power of Kiryu was too much though, because Yakuza Kiwami 2 bricked it. 
 
Basically, whenever I get a new one, i'm going into the most intensive games I have and giving it everything with 20 chrome tabs open. If it black screens, it's going back again lol. 

mine made it 54 days so thats something I guess

Just got my RMA back today. Played some COD black ops screen went black. Temps on card were fine. Tried rebooting nothing. Looks like I’ll be doing a 2nd RMA. I made sure all drivers were updated. Been waiting to get this card back to put a hybrid kit on it, but can’t do they until I know the card isn’t going to die

Any red led? Also, maybe we all are just getting each other’s cards at this point. 2nd RMA should be shipped out soon (3rd card). I give it 10 days before it dies lol

Got my 3090 FTW3 Ultra on Nov 9th, many hours now of gaming on it - 2012 serial number.
So far not a glitch. Definitely keeping fingers crossed. Been gaming with this daily since receiving.

Just got off the phone with EVGA, RMA 2 is in progress. Wish me luck friends.

They should send you a Kingpin card instead for compensation for all the shipping costs and replacement failing in short order.

Is everyone doing cross shipping? If not, how long after they receive your bad card do they send the new one out to you? My bad card has been there for a week now and no new card has been shipped. Customer service says there's no updates.
