Reminds me of that promotion my co-worker was told about, to get her position back. They said: "We're working hard to get you to be a supervisor, we know there is money in the budget for it." It's been over a year and now they come in acting like that conversation never happened. No raise this year either, so on top of that... a slap in the face with a decrease in pay due to inflation.

Its not a legal liability afaik. Its just Joe never liked it in the first place so when he had A chance to kill it off he did and claimed it needed work first

Too true.  The chatroom used to be a great place to hangout.  Whenever I had any question, big or small I just went on there and started chatting.  Now I think about it someone on the chatroom (****s me I cannot remember who) helped me all the way watercool my PC.  They helped with loop configuration, what fittings, what blocks; you get the idea.

It would be nice if Joe commented on this explaining why he killed it instead of not confronting us and leaving us in the dark.

 
That was probably me or Nordic. We were to only ones still on when you came in with your funky Australian time zone. 
 
Honestly, it's just flat out stupid that the got rid of the chat. Yeah, the software for it sucked, but they already paid for the license and Joe is unwilling to let someone update it. They just threw on the "Closed for maintenance" name and did nothing about it. Apparently whoever made the decision to kill was too cowardly to tell people they never had any real intention of re opening it. 
 
It's pathetic that Evga, a company who prides themselves on their customer service, would just turn their back to some of their most loyal customers. We aren't even asking for anything new, just for them to keep doing what they had been doing for several years already.

I did say maybe Q2, well Q2 turned out to be insane.  Chat will be implemented again very soon.
