I think IRC is pretty simple and it'll work great instead of bringing back this "chatroom" we're talking about

yes yes i live on the evga TS server, but some people cant use it and would like to chat via something quieter.

The problem with TS is 1) it requires talking or listening and in class thats hard to do 2) its chat system is meh I'd rather have one that's made for text chat 3) its another program that I need installed and it doesn't work too well on my phone

i use TS3 every once in a while and would rather have text chat using a webpage. honestly i would be even happier if they did use an IRC page with and embedded client on the website that looks good and works as they need, so that i can just connect from my IRC client on my desktop.

Phones are for calling people, computers are for chatting, gaming and much more, sorry but phone people should not be complaining against this. Get a computer lol

Until a method that can be found that meets the needs of the forum members and also provides security then Team Speak is the best solution right now. I have to admit that I prefer a typing chat myself.

Unfortunately, we have to do several upgrades to chat in order to get rid of some issues that we where having (which is why it was taken down in the first place). I can't speak for EVGA management but EVGA chat has to be extremely secure. That could be one of the things that EVGA has to examine.
