i am on queue 9.27.2020 but i bought from alternate.de for 278 euros more the price listed on evga. i wish i could wait.

Lol, me2 :(
But tbh, I'm sick of all the hunting and waiting..so let's hope it will arrive this time!
They are selling the Gigabyte 3080 Vision for the same price btw, so the EVGA FTW3 Ultra should be a big deal :D

It’s pathetic how EVGA is so far behind all other brands. Myself and many of my friends now have gone with MSI and Asus as they are far better available at normal prices. And they are just as quiet and powerful.

Day 75 of my day 1 pre-order.

 - EVGA still hasn't sent out 3080 FTW3's to Amazon.DE/UK.  My Day 1 Sept 17 Pre-order is still NO ETA
 - EVGA continues to provide scalper websites like scalpernate.de and cyberscalp.de  with cards that are 200-300+ euros over MSRP
 - No idea what's going on with EU Queue. Is it up? What's the point of introducing a queue so late that that the people who clicked on Notify on DAY 1 are getting the card 6-8 months after release?
 - EVGA Twitter guy continues to rake in praise from the NA community. Continues to retweet pleased NA customers to show EVGA that he's doing a great job (extra Christmas bonus?). No hurry whatsoever to fix the appalling situation in EU.

I see evga 3080 cards being sold in many pc webshops in my country, at scalper prices for 1200€ onward....and they keep restocking.
I don't think evga.eu queue is functional at all, it's just PR trick!
Maybe it's easier to ship cards in number to those scalpers than individually to us.
Anyway will stay in queue but going to get first available 3080 i see out there at close as "normal" price

Well... why bother paying the HK - UK - Your Country price when UK - Your Country is expensive, if you can get HK - Your Country. Which is cheaper (for them) and faster for you.

Regarding the queue... could be a PR stunt but it works on NA, barely... but it works. IN EU I think they just dont care or it is too hard to try. If the Spreadsheet is indicative, then you get 2-3 cards per week comparing to all the shops that sell at inflated prices.

Last week were a lot of 3080 XC3 going to amazon, alternate, and other stops, even some in our country. At super inflated prices but they were.

But the QUEUE....

Ye I highgly advise to get a different brand card. I think the only thing that EVGA can do is offer the step up program. Which... if you looking to get 3080TI's.... could be interesting. But seeing how they alot the cards... especially in EU I think you will have to wait a lot forever.

ALSO, I think someone mentioned in an older post, that the STEP UP PROGRAM will receive cards after all the pre-orders and the QUEUES will be finished. So yeah...

I hope that's not the case but that wouldn't be a surprise if it is...

I guess I'll have my step-up 3080 mid 2022 haha.

Just go somewhere else guys. EVGA literally don't give a **** about the EU market. There have been no updates from their side in over a month. Just buy from the US or go with another company, at least you'll get a card within the next 6 months.

If I buy from the US, I have to pay 19% VAT, plus $50-$90 shipping, plus god knows what customs taxes the local authorities might impose. It's not that simple to order from outside the EU market. It's the same as someone from US would buy from Russia or example. So buying from EU scalpers would be much cheaper than ordering from the US.

Sort of. You would pay your country's VAT rate instead of the US local tax rate, plus shipping.

Where are you trying to import to? Last I checked there is no customs duty applied to 'Data Processing Machines'.

Let's assume a 10% US Tax rate on a $1000 card, making $1100 in total.

Where I am in the UK, this would cost around $1250: $1000 + 20% UK VAT + $50 shipping
$1250 is £940. A $1000 card is likely to cost £1000 in the UK, so even with up to $100 in shipping, you still save money.
This was way more attractive pre-brexit where you could save up to 25% on some items.

I bought my CPU and GPU from the USA due to stock in the EU a couple of years ago so this is mostly based of that experience. All in all, it ended up being cheaper than if I had bought it from the EU stores. Not much in the way of savings, and with the pricing today you may even spend a little more than the EU equivalent, but I didn't have to wait 6 months so it was definitely worth it in my case.

Im fine with Hong Kong, just asking for clarification. As long as the card arrives it's fine. The only possible issue is having to pay the VAt twice.

As I wrote earlier, due to space issues im pretty much limited to 2 cards, im still rocking a 1080 Ti so no issues on my side, I can wait and if by some miracle my shop gets one earlier I will leave my space for others, but so far chances are I will receive the card from EVGA earlier than stocks are normal, not to mention shops down here are also resorting to inflating tactics or trying to push people into buying their 3090 stock.

AND my new PSU is still in transit, so even if I had one I could not use it.

Yeap that was actually my first concern, but pretty much they collected the Tax so its already taken care with the company handling shipping (In this case DHL) they are the ones that will pay to the tax office and handle that part.

Just got a message from caseking stating that my card will most likely takes weeks or month to arrive (EVGA RTX 3080 Black Gaming)
They offer me an alternative that would arrive in 1-2 weeks for additional 200€, but I get a keyboard with it with a value of 150€.

Makes me wonder, seeing that people finally get their Black Gaming cards here...

I just wanted to say that the 3090 FE is still on sale on scan.co.uk.
Shipping is not limited to the UK, you can buy it at retail price for £1399 GBP (€1549.00), which is a lot, but in end it's better than buying a 3080 Zotac on Amazon for €1000.
