Sadly email was sent 19.00 and I noticed it only morning. Doesn't it contradict the statement that they will send those during business hours?
Wrote to support but hopes are low.

Hm, maybe this is done also from California, so they are sending during that Business Hours and not from EU during business hours in EU time zone.

Thx for that information, so we know we have to watch closely. (And good luck for you!)

Would be so typically for EVGA at the moment
Must have been quite a surprise when they realized, that there are actually other countries on the world and not only the US.
Now imagine what will be going on in the EVGA headquarters when they find out, that there are more time zones than UTC-4:00 to UTC-10:00

That's true and if you compare that card to an equivalent ASUS card on the same webshop the price is nearly identical.

Yeah, both are massively overpriced. But at least ASUS manages to sell cards over their EU shop regularly ;)

I suppose there is no way to know what the queue is for those notify mails. Oh well, at least waiting for the official EU store to get to me means I won't get scalped by retailers. All cards in stock I've seen in the last couple of days from those have been upward of 1100 euro.

ASUS X99 Deluxe | Intel Core i7 5930k cooled by Corsair H100i | G.Skill Ripjaws 4 16 GB DDR4 2666Mhz
EVGA GTX Titan X | 256 GB Samsung 840 Pro | 1 TB Samsung 850 Evo | 4 TB WD Caviar Black
EVGA SuperNova P2 1200W | Corsair 760T White | Corsair Vengeance K65 | Zowie EC1 EVO | ASUS ROG Swift PG278Q

Re: What's going on with EU and 3080's? 2020/11/13 07:10:35 (permalink)
I ordered an EVGA NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 10GB XC3 BLACK GAMING card from Scan UK, just minutes after they went live on September 17th. The price was £649. Since then, in nearly 2 months, I have gone from queue no. 66 to queue no.44.

I don't think I'm EVER going to see this card. I think that cards sold at this price have been given the absolute lowest priority. I don't believe I'll see this card this year. How on earth is this acceptable? I have never witnessed such a shambolic effort. this feels borderline fraudulent. I feel like reporting this to Trading standards.

I'll probably miss out on the Watchdogs Legion promo too. EVGA, are you even shipping these cards to UK suppliers?

In what amounts to yet another big middle finger from EVGA to its EU customers, new hybrid cards were added for advance notification sign-ups to the US store yesterday. Meanwhile in the EU store it's crickets. I'll be surprised at this point if they even show up over here at all.

I'm looking at the US store:
evga.com/products/productlist.aspx?type=0&family=GeForce+30+Series+Family&chipset=RTX+3080
the "auto notify" button is not visible on hybrid cards 🤔

I am not a representative of EVGA but based on my personal observations EVGA tries to get products to the distributors/retailers because that is where most people buy their PC hardware.

I am not a representative of EVGA but based on my personal observations EVGA tries to get products to the distributors/retailers because that is where most people buy their PC hardware.

And that's the issue because they are doing a bad job at it. At first I did a whole big text but I'll shorten to these points :
- They send many to overpriced shops like LDLC group (who owns the 4 most popular IT shops in France) with 150€to 250€ over MSRP price products while " Buy All Shops " like Rueducommerce (Amazon-alike but french) are closer to 50 / 100€ while getting less stock than LDLC Group.

- I understand the logistics are harder when you ship directly instead of going through resellers, but at least if you don't want to sell yourself, do a triage of the resellers so you avoid shipping most of your products to a shop that sells 250€ over MSRP, that gives a bad image of EVGA when Asus is trying to fight high retailers prices by selling directly on their shop.

- Most of the cards I've seen on EU shops were sent to Germany (with a very few to France, Spain or Italy because higher VAT) where VAT is lower and where you can't always buy and ship to another country like France (because some sites don't allow it for whatever reason) or those who allow it at way higher prices, closer to LDLC prices. Nice...

- A few units here and there on the queue won't change things because EU shops, to my knowledge, also ships to Middle East and Africa. Which, even if you remove those, EU is already larger than US + Canada combined (and that's while not counting UK in Europe) so clearly the proportion of units sent there ain't gonna cut it.

- 3080 FTW3 Non ultra still ISN'T available to get notified, weeks after I already warned multiple times on forum and twitter and contacted EVGA by mail, just to get a " We're not concerned we're the NA customer support talk to EVGA EU". How valued I felt... knowing it's damn hard to get in touch with EVGA EU unless it's for an RMA.

Sorry rjohnson I like your enthusiasm but EVGA is currently brain dead in EU until US got served enough that EVGA deems interesting to focus on EU Market again (which, with the 3080Ti rumors and all, might not happen before mid 2021 when stocks will be stabilized enough for that).

I've checked quite a few shops in Europe and the UK and regardless of manufacturer stock is zero for most all webstores for the RTX 3080 and RTX 3090. I wish I had better news for you.

Amazon ES/DE/IT/FR is literally blasted with 3090 and 3080's of EVGAs daily. Do you monitor PartAlert? I know 3080 might be tricky to get because of demand but 3090? Available as of now, as well as FTW3 version whenever they come. Multiple times in last days.

BTW. Only Ultra versions for now I think. They got it at retail prices (vary on VAT in different country, though), not as alternate.de, inflated with extra 100EUR or so.

Here in Finland our OFFICIAL EVGA retailer has got total of 0 evga cards in 2 months. Meanwhile the same shop has shipped almost 400 3080 ASUS TUF OC cards alone and total of hundreds of other brands/models on top of that. It’s not about demand when evga has delivered total of 0 cards in 2 months to their official retailer.

It turns out they even sold out of notifications LOL! The notification button was only available for a short time. But again, Europe didn't even get that.

Still no sign of the 3080 Black Gaming in the EU. While the other 3080 models regularly pop up at different retailers (although highly overpriced) it seems like the BG does not even exist...

Good thing you arent looking to buy a Hydro Copper or Hybrid in the EU.

Where you can sign up for queue in the US, we don’t even have a product page for these products 😂😂

Well, at least they now implemented the notify queue on the 3090 XC3 ultra too....maybe that means that soon something will happen?
I mean, one can dream  \(^-^)/

Do we have any queue movement for the EU EVGA 3080 FTW Ultra?

Or any information on a spreadsheet?
I think I am like one of the firsts, or so I hope in line for a 3080 FTW Ultra. I mean someone with a 3090, already got theirs which is later than my order.

Or is all just a con?

So far I've not heard of a single person get a 3080 FTW3 Ultra through the queue system. I hope the 3080 FTW3 Ultra queue gets some movement soon, it's been 2 months since launch.

I think I'm quite early as well so fingers crossed we can get them!

I occasionally come and check this thread to see, if any new info has come up, but looks like everything is the way it was 2 months ago.

Unfortunately the white ship (AMD) failed to deliver as well. Stock wise (although it's a bit early to judge that), price wise and also 4k wise. So far I have managed to order myself a reasonably priced Gigabyte 3070 (should arrive in upcoming days) and I will use that until I get something better.

The price of hardware in the EU is insane.
They are crazy...In Hungary RTX3080 cost 1000 euro.

That's nothing, currently an Asus TUF 3080 OC going for €1,799 on amazon.de
