Yep.. ordered a Asus Strix 3090 OC right now for 1.662,90€. Goodbye EVGA. This is also the better choice. Regarding to Actually Hardware Overclocking EVGA cheaped out pretty much on the whole PCB. I hope Steve from GN will release that video soon....

I'm also leaning towards a 3070 card instead of a 3080. They're more easily obtainable and might be sufficient. Pretty bumbed about the lack of response/action from EVGA as I always prioritize service above pricing. Edit: and MSI 3070 Gaming X Trio just so happens to be in stock when I wrote this so I made the order.

We don't miss out on much this generation from EVGA. I'm past disappointed at this point. Also, my FE is coil whining like crazy. Done with the FE, it'll be a RX or a TUF 3080 depending on the benchmarks in a week. EVGA doesn't deserve our money this round, maybe they'll take it into account and do better (because to each time they messed up they learned and did better next time) but I wouldn't be too optimistic for Europe still. Good luck everyone to get another card.

it actually is since it is the current top-dog together with the strix. all top of the line cards from MSI, Gigabyte, EVGA and ASUS are 2k+ from what I've seen with some exceptions. Bottom tier starts around 1700-1800EUR. Ridiculous. Most expensive card I know rn is the 3090FTW3 Ultra from Caseking with over 2200 EUR. even people on ebay sell them cheaper lmao

One more week until Big Navi. Got a B550 Tomahawk board today, picking up a 5600X tomorrow (strangely in stock at a couple of local stores for 15-20% over MSRP, but no sign of 3080s anywhere in the last 2 months) and hopefully a 6800XT next week. Will gladly pay 750€ for it if needed, couldn't get a 3080 FE for that money... Removed myself from all 3080 queues, still have them for the cheaper 2 3070s, but when en email comes for either of them, i'll have an all Team Red PC already so won't matter anymore. Oh well.

Wanted to reply to this forum thread earlier, unfortunatly I managed to break a tooth and then get a mouth infection which felt like i had been hit by sledge hammer in the face. Starting to feeling bit better now, so wanted to post a reply I got back from EVGA Support EU.
I appreciate the banter back from EVGA support in the reply ;) - wasn't a standard blanket email reply back as such... I hope this helps a little... (hoped for a better answer regarding time scales but it is what it is)
My email to them reads:

I would like to start off by saying how great I've found the EVGA products to be. I have a fair few products that are manufactured by EVGA.
I've been desperately trying to get a hold of a 3080 by you guys. I know there is a great deal of demand for 3080s and 3090s. However, I cannot see any light at the end of the tunnel. I've clicked on the notify button on the day of release and have had no news.
I've been constantly refreshing the EVGA EU site (pressing F5) to no avail.
My poor little green finger is now stuck in a crooked position. I feel the force leaving my body which has now put the galaxy at great risk - if I cannot use my light sabre correctly against the Empire that is.

Price too high, I caught 3090FTW3 Ultra for 1850EUR on Italian amazon, try Spanish as well. Just had a drop of 3080 FTW3 Ultra on .it then on .de amazon.

I saw a 3080 FTW3 about 20 minutes ago on amazon.de for 800+ € (I can't remember exactly, 700 something would have been too low - it was definitely the best price I have seen with my own eyes). It was gone before I even managed to login to amazon. But that's amazon, there has been some EVGA cards here and there since launch day. Unless the official queue on this site starts to move, nothing is happening. Big Navi launch is probably going to be a rather grim experience as well, because AMD couldn't even manage day one demand for their CPUs and this weeks restock at retailers have been rather laughable. I'm getting tired of this BS.

Caught one in .de drop of 3080 FTW3 today. Pretty shocked about that, because usually you have like 5 seconds to do so. It took me at least 20-30 :) And what is the most important - in MSRP price, not local shops' crazy inflated prices.

Is it true that EVGA still seems to charge double VAT? I've seen a screenshot of a German buyer (3090 FTW3 Ultra) and it said 1565 Eur for the card and 423 Eur for VAT? That's round about twice the actual 16% VAT in Germany..

And that German guy had the 3090 FTW3 Ultra for 1565 Eur (excl. VAT) plus they charged 423 Eur VAT, which is wrong!

Finally, their EU shop got stock and they started processing the queue :)
Does anybody know, whether they also sent 3080s or only some 3090?
It would be nice, if people who have been notified would post that, so that we could see how the queue is moving forward.
