Whats your OC limit?
I got 76.3 and 71.6 on my SLI Titan X, and i can keep it stable with a total boost clock upto about 1425-1430, looking to cool them better don't want to go into a full water cooling solution although some new blocks are coming out with active backplate (which is a big issue with the Titan X since that back RAM gets freaking hot) and the front + backplate can be have for about 100-110 EUR which means a full water cooling solution will be about 300 EUR for the titan X's since you can get a pump and rad combo for about 100 if you know where too look.

here are my GPU-Z readouts.

Does your gpu core clock boost over 1300 mhz in games like Project cars, Max payne 3, Tomb Raider, Skyrim 1, Far cry 4, if you keep the temps around 75c? Cuz my SC 980ti ACX 2.0 will peak out at 1290 mhz with out manually overclocking anything but ramping up the fans to 80%

74.1%

With a touch-up of 146 on the core clock, it boosts to 1,492-1,500 stable on Heaven without modifying voltage. Heh, not that I'm going to do that all the time but it's nice to know I've got a little extra in the tank.

Yea, I knew 74-75% ASIC are best for GTX980Ti and TITAN X.
How much boost exactly 980Ti SC ACX 2.0, if temps are below 80C?

Well, 146 brings the core to 1,286, so I was looking at a boost of at least 200.

Topped out at 68c running 100% fans at about an 18c ambient temperature (in a HAF 922 case with a 200mm sidefan, all case fans regulated by motherboard), hit 98% power usage.

It probably bears worth mentioning I'm using a TwinFrozr, as I just couldn't catch the Hybrid train.

From what I've read the whole asic = better chip really isn't all that true. Correct me if I'm wrong.

It's true for the maxwell arch but it wasn't for earlier arcs. The power saving features of maxwell doesn't allow for adequate voltage leak present in low ASIC cards. In my opinion there's two things that give oc potential. One is high asic that allows for higher boosts without voltage application. In other arcs the voltage was allowed to leak so with adequate cooling you could overclock it to perpetuity. With maxwell it appears that beyond 1.2-1.3V the card Won't overclock unless under ln2.

This is my first post but second card from EVGA. I have a Evga sc gtx 980 acx 2.0 purchased in march through cyberpower with a 68% asic and a Evga sc gtx 980 ti acx 2.0 purchased directly from Evga in brea, ca also with the exact same 68% asic score. I think that Nvidia takes any GPU chips that score 90% and up for those none gaming cards that end up in high end servers. EVGA gets ones from Nvidia that are 90% - 80% for the Kingpin card, 80%-70% classified, and so on.. Its rare to get a high scoring chip on the "lower end" PCB. They probably had a few more high scoring chips than they needed for kingpin and classified cards and so goes the lottery.

I'm gonna have to disagree. ive heard of many 980 kpe that have asic below 60. I've been through 4 980 classys, they all had asic between 65 and 70. My 770 sc had an ASIC of 75.

72% and plus 292 on core and plus 435 on memory....asic score is 72%.

Firestrike 1080P is 16665 best at 1450 boost, however that score was on a 4.7 overclock, I go between 4.6 and 4.7 because of voltage at 1.33V for 4.7 and 4.6 is 1.25V, so I tend to stay on 4.6 and affects physics score, so the other scores would prolly be higher at 4.7Ghz.

The last two were done on the hotfix drivers, for some reason they don't register as real drivers or something.

http://www.3dmark.com/fs/5488239       Base clock 1275 boost at 1490 .....16560 score...hybrid installed, but same reference card...cool and quiet

http://www.3dmark.com/fs/5488401       Base clock 1287 boost at 1495-1500....memory a little lower...16,553 score....hybrid installed, but same reference card...cool and quiet

http://www.3dmark.com/fs/5304837       Base clock 1251 boost at 1450...16,665... this was on air with base reference card at 73 degrees...loud but strong

67% (980 Ti ACX 2.0+)

Highest Firestrike score so far is 15464 (gpu +290, mem +290) boost to 1489 with no adjustment to voltage.  I do the OC thing when I first get a card to see how far I can go, but then revert back to default settings for gaming.  No OC needed for my setup, so no stressing about OC.

69,7% Asic Score. I mean I like good ASICs and high clocks but I think I have never seen such a mania about ASIC and "1500-MHz+ Clock-or-throw-it-into-the-garbage" before the 980Ti Series.

I could care less either way as long as I got rid of the FTW. The Ti is plenty good for my setup.  Btw, mine is 67%.

With that said, this is my OC score for Firestrike; 15464 was the best I could do without spending a whole lot of time messing the configurations.

Note:  I do all the OC stuff for fun when I get a new card, but then just go back to the default settings and have fun playing games.

2 980 Ti Hybrids : Top card 51.5%, bottom 58%

I OC'd them individually to test, the 51.5% Can go at maximum 1380 OC, if you give it more GPU boost will down clock it to its original specification of 1228 MHz

the 58% in the other hand can go up to 1410 MHz again anymore and it downclocks back to 1228 MHz

OC while both are in SLI I stay at 1380 MHz.

Whilst my GTX 970 G1 Gaming that has 78.4% ASIC is stable at 1535 MHz without down clocking at all. (But the coil whine is not a joke.. it is loud, the reason why I shy away from the G1 Line at the moment. The 980 Ti G1 again are having Coil Whine Problems.)

Re: What are your GTX 980 Ti's ASIC qualities? 2015/07/28 20:36:18 (permalink)
I have 2 980 ti ACX 2.0's....  1st=71.8% 2nd=81.0% ....  Have them SLI'd and running +200 core and +200 mem on both and run pretty good.  They boost right around to 1400 under full load...  Seeing as how they start lower than my 970's, Im more than happy with their performance now... At first I was a little discouraged at their benchmarks vs stuff I saw online, but compared to my 2 970's they are better.  I hope scaling starts to pick up with DX12, but who knows.
