Anyone with a Seasonic Prime GX-1000? According to the list, Seasonic Prime TX 1000 is okay, so I assume GX-1000 is okay too. Heard bad things about Seasonic and transient power spikes, but isn't that a thing of the past?

Hi Morganessa, I have a Focus GX-1000 PSU that I recently upgraded to from a Corsair 850. Works amazing with the 3090 and it's super quiet. The Corsair 850 was working OK but during gaming I could hear the fans coming from it due to the load.

I had a HX1200i and was having BOSD on start up and stutter issues. I replaced it with a AX1600i and not a single problem in the world..... and the 1200w is going in for warranty!!! plus I might get the EVGA 1600w p2 to compare vs the corsair but that's up in the air

Not sure why you get both the P2 1600 and the AXI 1600. They are both good PSUs.

I'm getting random freezes followed by a reboot when using edge chromium. It will happen once a week maybe, I'll have Steam or another gaming client minimised at the same time so hardly any load on the system. Temps are good: gfx idles around 30-34 and cpu is around 35-38 while this happened. Play games for hours with no issues.
My system conponents-
9900k
3080 ftw3 ultra - previous card 2080ti
Asus Maximus Formula X MB
32gig - 16x2
Sound blaster ae9
2x Samsung SSD
1x Samsung nvme
1x Corsair P5 nvme
Seasonic 1000w prime titanium - nearly 2 year old.
Corsair lighting powering 6 fans
Corsair AIO 100i
All running at stock.
I will add when this happened first few times it would knock out the Corsair fan control, so fans would go 100%, LEDs switch off. But I got an internal usb hub which uses the PSU to give extra power and this time reboot ocured the lighting and fan system remained functional.
Any ideas ? Could this be related to the PSU ? I'm testing the browser with hardware acceleration disabled as I know other users are experiencing freezes with it enabled.

WELL EVGA 850w P2 installed and seems solid, ended up re-cabling everything with the EVGA cable set, I Do like they include 4 - 8 pin VGA connectors now in the box,
My MSFS2020 saga continues, a few CTD and when it runs its a slide show, I used DDU to try to solve Driver issues??? and I am currently trying to reinstall the SIM, I wonder if the rebooting in MSFS20 caused it to get corrupted , I Don't have real faith the uninstaller, It really doesn't do much except strip off the top of the data - so the reinstall might be fruitless, currently running..., Its a big **** even on Gig Fios...
Apex Gaming AG70w will run a RTX 3080 FTW3 W/i9 9900k but very close to the edge as I believe this is the cause of the rebooting in Flight sim. I actually Port Royaled a 12000 + with this PSU and stressed tested the crap out of it but MSFS still is a problem with the new PSU, so Just info ...

Just software issues really. As far as the drivers go, just reinstall the drivers using the custom/clean install option. They do get corrupted, had to reinstall a few times myself here and there after some crashing in testing etc.

Yes, when you are overclocking you can see some rebooting, if so then just back it down a little, say 10 Mhz.

I received a 850w G5 a few days ago on the 9th as an RMA replacement for my 850w GA and so far it's been working perfectly. I've been playing RDR2 and Cyberpunk both at 4k ultra settings with a 3080 XC3 Ultra and a 3900x and I haven't had a single crash or any other issues.

im on a simple coolermaster 750 maxpower,, bronze.. Working fine but im not exceeding the 320W on the stock bios 3080, nor am I overclocking it.
If my step up for the FTW card that I really wanted comes in, ill likely also step up to a 1000W platinum rated PSU at the same time.

Got a supernova 850 P2, had multiple sudden system shutdowns since I've installed my 3080FE.
Bit of a bummer, not sure what is wrong. It has quite some coil whine but that's not a defect, been running rock solid for anything else so far, too.
No overclock, just a 3700x on a x570, nothing special that would even come close to fully utilizing 850w.. in theory.

got a G3 850watts with the KPE bios on a different card, working fine

I am building a sim rig for a friend but he doesnt have the PSU yet and I need to do as much as I can setup-wise this weekend. Does anyone know if my old Corsair TX750 is comparable to the newer 750M that is on the list as working with the 3080?
He has an MSI 3080 that only uses two 8-pins. Raw-power-wise, I'm sure the PSU can handle it, but not sure about the ridiculous power spikes.
