T hose who abuse power, are nothing but scumbags! The challenge of power is how to use it and not abuse it. The abuse of power that seems to create the most unhappiness is when a person uses personal power to get ahead without regards to the welfare of others, people are obsessed with it. You can take a nice person and turn them into a slob, into an insane being, craving power, destroying anything that stands in their way. Affiliate Code: 3T15O1S07G

yeah i agree.. those behemoth specs do not seem intended for "home" usage and it seems more likely directed to pro users out there

It's 150% more than the RTX Titan, so I wouldnt put it as being closer to a gaming GPU than that.

the rtx3080ti is suppose to have 7000 cuda cores or around that pay attention to what was posted on 3dcenter.org GA100 8192 cuda core is titan and 48GB would be right with 4 stacks of 12 GB HBM2e or 2 stacks of 24GB hbm2e GA102 is 6000-7000 cuda core is 3080ti - and 24GB GDDR6 would be right they are testing on 2080ti boards as what was stated a few days ago MY guess is that 48 GB would be Quadro's 24GB would be 3080ti no where does the test show that it was HBM2e so it could be that much GDDR6 and the clocks could be because it's engineering sample and are clocked lower at first

ty_ger07 $3000 consumer GPU?
I hope not, I only just now am starting to be willing to pay $1000 and I don't even like that ($700 for the best Geforce please? or second... or maybe third next gen)

Since when has NVIDIA ever launched a xx80 Ti at the release of a new GPU series? It has always launched after the mainstream cards release.

The 2070 didn’t come out with the 2080ti and the 2080 but had about a two month delay. If I remember the release was announced early September with about three weeks before the cards shipped then in November they launched the 2070.

They were all announced at the same time, so launched, and sales were postponed until later dates.

Ya I remember now, life outside the tech world has me very distracted. But it was an unusual event to how they normally launch their cards. I think because of the initial success of cryptomining with the 1xxx series cards that surged their sales and caused rising prices, they sandbagged that launch and was able to release the 2080Ti at the same time. But that is only my theory, so I could be wrong. If AMD were creating better competition by releasing their next gen cards sooner, and NVIDIA launched their 3080Ti at the same time; then I would say I am definitely wrong. Back to focusing on life outside the tech world with additional distractions such as coronavirus and other unusual circumstances.

2080 Ti is a cut down TU102, Titan is full chip. Problem is there is not a huge gap in performance, tho the titan has much more memory. I'll guess the 3080 Ti will see more of a cut down, to create a larger gap and accommodate severe binning with 7nm, so say -20% for 5500 cores on the GA102. Or if its the same cut down, it will be over 6000 cores.

The TU104 has about 2/3rds the cores of the TU102, so a full GA104 could have 4600 cores or same as a full TU102. I'd expect even a cut down version for the 3080 to have some fairly steep pricing, say $899.
