Trying to upgrade from my 970 here definitely need that upgrade

Hello folks. Trying to upgrade my card, learned too late about the EVGA sign up queues until the 3060 came out. Now, just playing the waiting game. 

Apparently I've had an account since 2013. Didn't realize there was a forum.
 
I think that is back when I bought a 780 from EVGA.
 
I'm currently on a 1080 and would really like to upgrade. My 1080 has been struggling a bit with the VR games. And everything else for that matter.

Hello its me and i need more friends with pc 

Hey all, I am new here. Been trying to get a 3080 for what seems like forever. I have lucked out with AMD direct so I am using that card now. I would much rather an Nvidia card though and have just been really unsuccessful up until now. Well see what the next couple of months holds.....lol

I am finally in the market to replace my 10 year old PC and wow does my timing suck. I'm currently rocking an X58 EVGA mobo, i7 930, EVGA 650w PSU, and an EVGA GTX470 so I'm over due for an upgrade. Keeping my fingers crossed that I can grab a decent spot in line for this 3080 Ti launch.

If you watch the TeamEVGA Twitch podcasts regularly you gain E-Points just based on duration spent watching, and you can then redeem those E-points for Elite membership. 5,000 E-Points = Elite membership. Easy. Doesn't take all that long, and certainly less annoying to everyone than spamming the forums, plus their podcasts are usually entertaining and informational, with different guests and some celebrity types, and usually some giveaways (keyboards, mice, sometimes GPU cards!).
 
Note: they often go beyond the scheduled times, particularly on Fridays the stream can easily go for 2+ hours. Also stick around at the end of the stream as you get 250 E-points for joining their raid to some other stream when EVGA's stream finishes. Friday nights are the best, but here's their schedule:
 
Tuesday 8am - 9am pacific time (11am - 12pm eastern time) - "Tech Tuesday" - talk show and podcast.
Thursday 1pm - 2pm pacific time (4pm - 5pm eastern time) - "Throwback Thursday Gaming" - this week they're playing Hitman: Codename 47.
Friday 3pm - 4pm pacific time (6pm - 7pm eastern time) - "EVGA Weekly Live!" - anything can happen, and it usually does..
