Back when the EVGA Bucks for Cash program was first released it was said that those of us that received a large amount of cash would be getting a 1099 tax form. However I just talked with EVGA support who indicated that they would not be sending any tax documents? Anyone have any information on this?

Dear jasoncodispoti, I am very sorry for any confusion. I can confirm if your payment was received through PayPal then you will receive any necessary forms through PayPal, otherwise if the payment was issued through EVGA and a 1099 is necessary, then you will receive it through mail from EVGA. I got my 1099 from EVGA as well.
For people who did do the cash out option and did get the 1099 it's important to get it from EVGA or PayPal and nobody likes IRS audits.

PayPal will only provide tax documents if you received over $20k in payments. I fall just under this threshold… EVGA has not sent me anything and the person at EVGA that I was in communication with no longer works for the company. EVGA may not even be obligated to provide anything… I will have to try and call on Monday and start the conversation over again… Either way my accountant will likely be doing my taxes next weekend… they can figure it out.

i had less than 20k of payments in like 5 transactions from paypal and they still sent me a 1099.
