Just thought I would introduce myself and say hi to the EVGA community. I have been following along for years, just have not posted at all. Great community, and now I have more time on my hands I hope I can contribute to this amazing community.

Lemme then say a few words as to what I do. In life (:P) I am a physicist (student). Although I had my experience with electronics at that, I am nowhere near close to application-end stuff that are involved in tweaking your own PC hardware. On the other hand I have more touch with programming and the software side of things, to say in short. I also help debug DXX-Rebirth, a FOSS port of the original Descent series (not 3) to modern systems written on OGL API.
 
Why am I here? I lately have started to make more educated decisions as far as purchasing hardware goes, and Gold Leader has been great help in that regard. So here I am now, my baby steps into an unexplored world.
 
Many thanx to my friend Gold Leader for introducing me to this place, and lemme finally remark on how helpful and effective this community is, by my first impressions.

Hey EVGA people!  I'm new to these forums but I have kept up with EVGA products for years.  Finally able to be a part of it.  I gladly shipped back my Radeon 7970 I bought 2 days before the GTX 680 was announced for this beast of a card we know as the EVGA GTX 680.  Couldn't be happier!  Glad to be a part of a great community with a strong support structure for their products.

So i tend to lurk around forums.  not very active but I figured i'd introduce myself.  Im james, work full time in public safety and have been a computer nerd for the better of 15 years.  also run my own tech business and enjoy playing pc games in what little free time I have.  I have switched to the evga folding team since I wasn't fully aware they actually had a folding team.  Kinda stinks because my old account had a bunch of WU Credits.

I thought I would introduce myself. My name is Rick Haney but I figure that you could probably guess that from my user name. This is kind of weird to be on the outside of EVGA writing in the forums since I used to work for EVGA (Good Company, Great Co-workers). I also thought it would be nice to give a shout out to my old boss Shane Duff, good friend Kevin Toft (aka Agent Tiny) and Matt Hurwitz (aka Noodles, aka fruit ninja reject ). I built my first PC in 1995 @ 12 years old, it was a Pentium 3 @ 450Mhz.

Not real new here, just a weak poster!!

Figure I will say hi, been lurking for a while waiting to see when the z77 board I pre ordered is gonna get here lol, got an evga gtx 680 and a Intel 3770k waiting for it. Upgrading from my laptop which replaced my amd "quadfather" system that died after a year...  been struggling with wanting to use Asus or AMD since that system, the evga 8800gts that was in it is running strong in a friends system still. Still have an evga micro atx socket 939 board with a fx 57 cpu running strong and an evga 8600gts, was the first system I ever put together, currently just use it to play music and movies in my shop. 
Mostly use my computers for gaming and using the internet lol, mostly strategy type games. Currently Shogun 2 is what I play for the most part, cannot wait to play it on a good computer.
