I know some of you watch the show Street Outlaws on the Discovery channel. During filming of a race for upcoming episode, Brian "chucky" Davis crossed over the center into Justin Shearer a.k.a. Big Chief vehicle.

Injury Update from Justin "Big Chief" Shearer
"THANK YOU EVERYONE.... I'm pretty beat up right now. Just woke me up for some breathing treatments. Pulmonary contusions (bruised lungs). Crushed my L2 and L3 in my back, broken collarbone, and pretty beat up, but so thankful to be alive right now. They got me on non stop oxygen and another round of cat scans, and X-rays coming up. The surgeon doesn't believe i will need back operation anymore, but they are going to keep me in the hospital again tonight to keep an eye on the lungs, YES I WILL BE BACK!"

All the money both drivers spent on safety, kept them alive that night. Discovery channel doesn't allow anyone to race on the show unless the vehicle passes safety inspection. They have fire and medical crews on site during filming, the stretch of road is closed to the public.

Looks like Chief's Crow just crowked.  This show sucks. I dont like it anymore cause its not like street racing you see on 1320 video on YouTube. Plus too much cry baby drama anyways in that show with people cussing each other out all the time.  I remember the thread that you posted that showed that they get permits for the street. Well of course what do you expect its TV.

 
The closest thing you will see to illegal street racing like in 1320 videos on a National tv network, is the documentary National Geographic did about LA street racing. You can find it on youtube.
 
I watch Street Outlaws for the racing, i know the drama is scripted.
