Hello everyone. I recently bought the GTX 1070 Founders Edition, and I realized that the use of GPU is around 70-75%. In most games that I have tested. CPU temperatures hover around 65 ° C, and GPU are around 70 ° C. My specs are:

Intel Core i7 6700 (non K)
EVGA GTX 1070 Founders Edition
16gb (2x8) Kyngston HyperX Fury.
EVGA Supernova 850 B2
Tb 2x3 WD Caviar Green

I hope you can help me, thanks.

For now yes. But these days I think buy another monitor to play at higher resolution.

Is the low use giving you bad fps?

In some games yes. For example Rise of the Tomb Rider, there are times when the FPS down to 45 while the GPU load does not even reach 80%. :(

You could try increasing your resolution using dsr to see if it helps your situation.

I already tried with kboost activated, but the results are the same.

I increased the resolution by DSR, increased use of GPU but not much and FPS remain low. I do not know what else to do. Will is a problem with the graphics card?

Post a screen shot of GPU-Z sensor tab with the card under load, at idle, and also post a screen shot of the GPU-Z main screen. Make sure your pci lanes are not running x1 or lower than x8 or x16 pci 3.0

Make sure you have "Power Target" set to focus, and set to 120%, rather than Temperature(but I would also set Temp Target to 92C). Make sure V-Sync is disabled on your panel, and finally make sure your "Target Frame-rate" is set to "off" under PrecisonX control panel. Some games, especially newer games have newer settings under Video settings such as "Force Resolution" and "Dynamic Graphic Settings" If you are going to use the Dynamic settings, make sure you set it to "High" or "Ultra", as a Medium setting will have poor impact on your fps, for me and my 1080 F|E I had to "unlock" several graphic settings to get the most out of my card. I was getting low fps until I set all my graphic settings to Ultra under "Dynamic Control", and other settings such as Unlock Frame-Rate" turn off "Force Resolution".

Thank you. All your recommendations I've checked and everything is as you tell me. Except Power target, only I can set a maximum of 112%

Your temperatures look good, all I can see on the GPU-Z shots is that you are TDP/voltage limited (VRel). But that should not result in below 99% GPU utilization.

Are you running anything in the background that takes a lot of CPU? Stuff like FRAPS, or perhaps even GFE with shadowplay.

Im running GFE with shadowplay in the background, but I have another disc with a clean windows 10 installation with no GFE installed, and I cant see any diference in the GPU load. I don't know what else to do.

Cheked, and it was established to high performance, same in the nvidia control panel

    Any other sugestions?
If I make a slight overclock could improve performance?

    overclock won't help.

    You should try:
Use of DDU to uninstall the Nvidia driver and install again.
And update your MotherBoard BIOS (there is a lot of board manufactures that release bios update specifically for pascal GPUs)

If you run haven benchmark, does our GPU achieve 99% ?

I already used DDU... And already update my motherboard Bios to the last version available. I also updated the BIOS of the video card. And in haven benchmark and valley benchmark my GPU still in 95-99 % usage. . In games like Rise of the Tomb Raider, Battlefield 4, Battlefiled 1, Batman Arkham Knight, AC Syndicate, etc, etc, performance is much lower than the benchmarks (Haven, Valley)

My cpu are running at advertised clocks when gaming, tonight I will made a Windows clean installation in another Disc. And I'll see how it works. Then I post the results.

Theres no chance than my graphics card is broken?, (I hope not).

How are your game settings as you mentioned that you had GFE running. Sometimes if the settings are not set high enough hen the gpu does not need to work as hard. Maxing them out may help increase performance, such settings like resolution or texture scaling.

Problem solved. Apparently it was a problem on my hard drive. I previously had performed a clean install of Windows 10 on this hard drive, but the results were the same. Last night I made a new installation but this time in a new hard drive, and testing with the same games the GPU usage was between 95-99%. Thanks everyone for your help.
