Interesting, my Z490 Formula boards have been bulletproof and so has the extreme I had for a bit.

We had some discussions about that a few pages ago if you want specifics, but basically Jacob said on Twitter that they were going away from QVLs as they expect pretty much all memory within spec to work. Sounds like they may start listing memory that doesn't work instead as the list would be shorter.

I am waiting for the FTW or the Dark myself since I want to do a new build. Hopefully we see the Dark queue start this month.

Hey sorry if this is posted in the wrong spot. Any suggestion for an EVGA miniITX motherboard that would be suitable for a 3060ti GPU?

They don't have any miniITX motherboards. I haven't heard of any plans for one in the near future either.

Yes. I would bet they give a notify link either at the end of this month or first week of June from what they've said before. Also, Luumi already has one (he has for weeks now) so they do exist. No idea what inventory or pricing is going to look like though.

From my experience, you can buy 3600MHz RAM activate XMP then change speed to 3333MHz and force gear 1. It should boot fine. Then from there you can customize timings and see what stable settings you can get out of that. You could also get a 3200MHz kit and do the same. Try to find CL14 sticks. Samsung B-Die sticks are the best for gaming latency.

It does seem from some other sites that whether you can run 3600 or 3733 is dependent on your individual CPU and motherboard, but I haven't heard anybody say they couldn't run 3600MHz so I was just curious. Received the Z590 FTW on Friday, planned to rebuild over the weekend, then life got in the way and I've had zero time the entire weekend to even start to work on it. :/

Doesn't the 11900K only support 3200Mhz RAM?

That's the "officially supported" speed, but it can operate with much faster memory than that.

If you want it to run at 4000MHz, yes. I also have a 4000MHz kit I'm planning on running at 3733 in gear 1, if I can get it stable, with the tightest timings possible. It seems like that'll be the best gaming performance, but I will also test it out at 4000MHz gear 2 and compare.

I've come to the conclusion that using 64GB (2x32GB) sticks is limiting my overclocking in gear 1. I've seen other people use 2x8GB and 2x16GB with successful higher speeds and lower latency in gear 1. The best I can get in gear 1 at the moment with 64GB RAM is 3333MHz CL16-19-19-39 running stable and RAM tested with https://www.karhusoftware.com/ramtest/ My games are performing well so I'm not really hurting to squeeze out more FPS.

Damn! Do you have your board yet? At least you can test it with 2x16GB if anything wonky happens with the 4x16GB. I think those are Samsung B-Die, which is great. Let me know how it goes.
