Cool GTX
Thanks LeeM for fixing the picture

In this case, I think it has more to do with the direct imgur link won't pull the image.  You can link to the image's page, but not pull it.  I had to open the image in another Window and copy that link for it to show up.

MCU updater does not work. Will not let me do anything. This is the screen it gives me:

I cannot open the .HEX file.

Edit: AGAIN, this forum will not let me link to/post an image. The image is at this link, just remove all the J's. hJtJtJpJsJ:J/J/JiJmJgJuJrJ.JcJoJmJ/JaJ/JQJNJmJyJ3JcJiJ

This is ABSOLUTELY ridiculous that this problem cannot be solved, and that I can't even post an image to this forum. This isn't rocket science. Just about if not every other RTX 2080 card on the market does not have this issue.

Are you running the batch (.bat) file?

Hey Jacob, I tried flashing my FTW3 with the 2080Ti FTW3 E202 package using the bat file, got an error message, and now it just says this device is not supported, I have little red lights on by the power connectors, and X1 0.3.2.0 thinks it’s a 2080Ti with only two fans.

X1 now crashes if I try to go to the fan curves where before it worked fine. Something went way wrong with the flash.

Could the wrong hex file been packaged? The one I have is 140,583 bytes. Right name though.

Hey Jacob - I spoke with tech support and they said you are already on this, but some extra information - my symptoms are a lot like rv112's when X1 buggered his MCU flash when it got installed (https://forums.evga.com/f...newest&m=2867464).

My LED vanity display is off and the center fan is spun up. The outer two can still be controlled by the X1 software. Not sure if that helps, but it does sound kind of similar to rv112's issue that you guys fixed with an MCU update. Which fits since trying to update the MCU is what sent my card south.

Only thing would be if you gave him the same updater that you posted here in which case I’m boned until you guys figure something out. The card still works though at least for the most part. I’m not doing any overclock scans or making any changes though.

I was just running the .exe. I tried running the batch file and received this error message:

hJtJtJpJsJ:J/J/JiJmJgJuJrJ.JcJoJmJ/J1JqJcJKJ7JzJg

Now when I run the .exe, I get this error message:

Again, the forum isn't letting me post pictures or link to imgur, so just remove all the J's from those links.

@theplasticbling - sorry about that. Just look for the thread here in the 20 Series area (same as this thread) titled "RTX2080 FTW3 fans stuck 100% after Precision X1 - FIXED!"

Thanks! New update on my end: PX1 now fails to let me choose LED color at all, and LED Sync doesn't show my card:

I got the same thing until Jacob sent the link to the twin flash files. If they think your symptoms are the same, I’m sure they’ll send you the same thing. It takes a reboot toget back to normal afterwards but mine remembered my fan curves and such. Still won’t remember a LED temperature range but it does remember a solid color. Good enough for me.

Good luck!

If that is available in Ti and regular 2080, you should be more specific. It may matter.

Those files that you sent to me through email didn't work either, same device not supported error. I'm not sure what to do. I only have a few more days I can wait until I have to send my card out for RMA and I'm not going to install the new one that I get sent back if we can't get this figured out. I'm tired of this unfinished and broken software.

Re: Save LED color to card? 2018/10/21 17:52:07 (permalink)
I have the 2080 ti Founders Edition and the 2080 ti XC Ultra.
I ran the Precision X1 program and now my lights went out on the2080 ti XC Ultra. The fans on the EVGA card are not spinning either, but I don't know if that is a new symptom or not.
I tried to run the bat file, but I get the following error....
"Hardware device 0x49 version 0x07 does not support flash update. Please contact the FW team"
I also tried running the firmware update, but I was already current at 90.02.0B.00.E4

Any suggestions on how to get the lights back on? And should the fans be spinning all the time like the Founders Edition does?

Also..
When I start the Precision X1 program, it says..
"Proceed to update LED firmware, please close all 3D applications"
I click OK, and get a "Update OK" message.
I closed everything, but I get that message each time I start the program.

I rebooted many times.
I finally got it fixed thanks to the suggestion from another thread to remove my Founders Edition card before updating.
Here is what I had to do...
I removed the Founders Edition card, but I kept getting a "This device is not supported!" when I ran the .bat file.
The GeForce control panel wouldn't show up, so I tried re-installing the GeForce drivers, but that didn't work.
I finally ended up putting the EVGA card in the first slot, and then I was able to see the GeForce control panel and run the .bat file.
Now I need to shut down and move the EVGA card back to slot 2 and put the FE card back in.
More work than it should have been, hopefully I don't have to do this for every update.

You'd be sad to hear that nothing has worked out for me! I can't even update my card

On another note, can somebody tell me if the LED color can be saved to the cards BIOS now? Is the breathing setting actually a breathing setting or a fade-in fade-out setting?

EVGA,

I extracted the folder ran the .bat file. I then rebooted the machine. The LED came back on (solid blue) but there is no longer any option to change the color. Also, other functionality within the LED UI is not working properly, or at least it doesn't seem to be working. I included a screenshot. LED breathing only produces blue, then green, then blue; doesn't look like 'breathing'.

Please help, this is kind of annoying.

Edit: This is for the EVGA RTX 2080 XC...

Extract all three files to a folder then run the .bat file as admin.
