Hello, Those two cards will be able to SLI together though they will follow the clock speed of the FTW3 DT.

Yes and put the non DT card on top for the times that 2 cards are not used for certain games and you can turn off sli. Though the small difference really prob wont be noticable.

Question, as I have never found that to be true and I ran SLI for many years. Both GPU's should boost to their default clocks. For years the claim was the GPU's would be synced to the GPU in slot #1, then it was the GPU would be synced the fastest/slowest... I'd like to see some others running SLI where the other GPU's clocks are directly affected and controlled by the other other than the typical case of GPU's in SLI will not always clock as high as they do singularly.

Heavy, do you have any benchmarks or metric results from back when you were running SLI? I have heard the same things that you posted, slot 1 and fastest/slowest. I myself have only ran SLI with two 660's a while back. The only thing I noticed was that it was HOT. Both cards were the same so I have no clue which one was influencing clock speed :(

I've been SLI'ing since SLI was a thing and always the clocks are limited between the 2 card per the slowest clocked card. Even ran 2 ftw3's in SLI for a few months since my son wasn't using his pc for gaming (ps4/xbox). I thought I read changes were made that you could run separate clocks speeds per card and I could not. Always test ea card separately for top stable clocks in a variety of games and benchmarks and set the cards for the slower clock of the 2. Yeah you may get away with a hair more on the 2nd card depending on how stressful the game/bench is but she will crash if you run something stressful enough if you run the slower card faster then it wants to go.. 2nd card isint pushed as hard as the top card.. why I suggest putting your best card on top. Edit: wish I could remember the first sli cards.. heh need to Google it. Sure I could find my pics of it as I've taken pics of everything pc related over the years. First sli non nvidia cards was the 3dfx voodoo 2 8mb.. then quickly upgraded to 2 12mb cards for higher screen res.

You need a 60mm sli bridge. 100-2W-0026-LR.

Where do you find one of those? EVGA hasn't carried one on the site since last year and all the US retailers are out.

The only time I have seen this happen is when people were running a GPU utility such as Afterburner or the old Precision which were based on the same base app by Unwinder. By default, the applications sync the GPU settings and clocks. You must unsync them. You can then set separate clocks for each GPU. I mean the fact you can set clocks per GPU in SLI tells you the clocks are not locked or *controlled by either GPU unless you sync them.

Yup forget it.. enamored. Few months ago. Anyways the older versions of afterburner I could not unsync the cards. So I had to get the latest beta and make sure I used a certain skin that had shown the option to unsync the cards to do it.
All that just so I could use the working overclock curve on afterburner which back then evga's px oc was broken.. now it's not even an option on it anymore on pxoc.
Too many beer nights for me.. I guess.

They are only showing the 0, 2 and 4 slot versions. The 1 slot has not been available anywhere besides a few on ebay going for 3-4 times as much as new.

Some second-hand ones are going for 10 times as much as new. I've been hunting for weeks now and gave up and ordered the ASUS SLI HB BRIDGE(2-WAY-M) 2 slot (60mm) spacing. There are plenty on eBay new from about $10.

This comes up about every 3-6 months and I still wonder why the most popular slot spacing never has the bridge in stock. They must have just made a single manufacturing run for all the sizes and that one, sold out the quickest.
