A lot of price hikes are due to worldwide inflation, but still I was hoping for slightly lower prices for this video card.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

Right....

These prices ate due to this generation competing with a previous generation which was over-priced.

Profits are off the charts for NVIDIA.

ASRock Z77 • Intel Core i7 3770K • EVGA GTX 1080 • Samsung 850 Pro • Seasonic PRIME 600W Titanium
My EVGA Score: 1546 • Zero Associates Points • I don't shill

Maybe you should try 4K, IPS panel, 1Ms, 144Hz, all settings maxed, gaming experience.
It is even better then gaming on OLED 65" at 120Hz.

Problem is that, like most people online, stubbornness and stand your ground attitude, simply fogging other possible options.

Enjoy in your virtual reality as this my last reply.

Your claims of what 'FPS' a human can see are factually wrong. Humans do not see in FPS, period.
You're awfully full of yourself for being wrong on basic facts

Humans' flicker fusion rates are around 60/second, period.
Ever witnessed stuttering when fps drops?

You're awfully full of yourself for being wrong bellow basic facts. That's why you needed a whole month to reply.
Someone rattle your cage or simply having a bad day?

Personally, I'll be buying the MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 Ti 12GB GDRR6X this Friday.   I've found it for as low as $879 including 2 day shipping, though having to wait till Friday, it'll probably be gone & I'll end up paying $941 instead.  Considering that I paid $855 for the 3070 Ti which I just sold for $455, and considering the 4070 Ti has significant performance gains (over 40% - 60% in 4K) and at lower temps, noise, & power usage, vs that 3070 Ti

Rebuild 2.0 Specs:  Phantek's Enthoo Pro Full Tower case * Gigabyte Z690 Gaming X DDR4 motherboard * Intel i9-13900KS CPU with Kraken X63 AIO * WIN 11 PRO 64bit * MSI 4070 Ti Gaming X Trio GPU * Corsair Vengeance 64GB(4x16GB) RAM * Solidigm P44 Pro 2TB M.2 NVMe SSD (Win11 Pro) + Intel 665p 1TB M.2 NVMe (storage) + Samsung 990 Pro 2TB M.2 NVMe (storage) + Samsung 980 1TB M.2 NVMe (Ubuntu) * Seasonic Vertex GX-1200 1200W ATX 3.0 PSU * Samsung 50 inch QN90A 4K TV/monitor * FANS: Bitfenix Spectre Pro 200mm front intake + 2x Noctua NF-A14 Industrial PPC 140mm exhaust on Kraken X63 radiator + 1 Noctua NF-A12 120mm rear intake

Absolutely faster than the 3080 TI.  In most cases, faster than the 3090 and wins and loses to the 3090 TI depending on the situation.  The 4070 TI is pretty much the 3090 TI with less VRAM.   Full review here:

I managed to get a 3070Ti at MSRP.

That being said, the value proposition for 30 and 40 series cards just isn't there.

And I don't anticipate it will be any time in the near future.

Yup,
I did not think it deserved its own thread but Look at NVIDIA, STILL doing the up-naming of its products ; here they are trying to pawn off the RTX 4080M as an RTX 4090 https://youtu.be/yx8H0936YdY
enjoy the fleecing of gamers across the globe
